Screen works great but the map app made my phone heat up alot

I purchased 3 of these for family members that do not have an in-dash navigation system thinking it would help. My technology challenged father asked me to help him set it up and that's when I realized you would be better off using a make-up mirror than this. I was under the impression there would be some sort of digital display of what was on the phone onto the piece that is upright. Nope, it's a slightly mirrored piece of plastic that you cannot see anything on during the day. I have not seen it at night as they were purchased as gifts for others. I feel like I got them a crap gift with this. Luckily I purchased other items to go into their bundle of gifts. Don't waste your money.

On bright sun, the "projection" is a tad light. During night time, it is very good.

You need to down load an app to use the product. The basic download is free but you really need the one that you pay for. The instructions with both the device and app are inadequate. I would not buy it again or recommend it.

Didn't work in my vehicle all-my dash isn't flat. Ended up throwing it in the trash after a few days. Gave it 3 stars only because it seemed like it was durable and never fell off my dash just didn't have the right angle in my car or something as I couldn't see the map at all. No one I knew wanted it, I should have sent it back but I had already thrown out the box.

This product was not worthwhile ---- even for (or because of) it's low price. The display is small -- the size of your cell phone. It does not enlarge. It is dull in appearance. I find it much better simply placing our Garman GPS on the dashboard, or snapping the phone on the phone holder on the vent, or using my car GPS system. I do not recommend this product.

Not unusual for products from China, it looks like they took some great ideas and implemented most of them poorly. The basic functionality is there. I got my money's worth. But serious issues prevent this product from ever getting 5 stars. The instructions claim that the head-up display magnifies the image from the phone, while it does the opposite, it compresses the image. If the mirror was flipped around, and used the other way, changing the reflector from a concave surface to a convex surface, it would in fact magnify the image. This can be done, but that requires removing the reflector via two very small screws, which I might never get back in place exactly right. The sticky-pad is very good. The reflector does its job well. The cover on the reflector which the user is supposed to remove before use, is held in place by the same two screws that hold the reflector in place, so I had to tear it out to get it off completely, which seems very wrong, and which left ugly plastic bits hanging off the reflector. I like it. I did not pay much for it. It works. This is not a super high quality product.
