I purchased this to hold and display rocks and seaglass that I've collected over the years. It's works perfectly for this. The lid sits on top of the container, but it doesn't have a plastic gasket or anything to make it an air tight seal. This doesn't matter in my application. This container is a great size and I love the lid gives it great height. I measured the base at 7". It has a small lip at the bottom that gives it an extra 1/2" all around. The main part of the cylinder is about 6". It's about 11" tall without the lid. The lid is about 6" tall, which makes the entire container about 16" tall (about 1" of the lid sits inside the cylinder). The width of the lid is about 5".The product came well packaged and after a quick wash, I put it to use right away. Love it!!

It does have a couple spots in the glass that look like bubble spots. Thankfully my spots are on the bottom and then on one side (that I can hide when filled. For the price, this is an excellent item. Glass polishes up to be spotless and crystal clear. It's thickness is great, it's glass lid and glass base so don't be rough with it, no apothecary jars are very durable if you don't know how to treat them (glass people, they are literally glass lol). IF you are rough and can't play gently with nice things, get the plastic acrylic apothecary jars or at minimum get the ones that have lids that have rubber gaskets in them. I knew exactly what I was getting in this, it displays beautifully, if you open and close the lid gently, you won't have an issue at all. Packaged very well, and couldn't be happier with this purchase!

This is a tall and attractive jar that's great for light use or as a decorative object. The glass isn't too thick, so I don't recommend it in high-use areas. It arrived well packaged and has no flaws or defects. I use it in my bathroom, as a container for scented bath salts. I'm careful to scoop out gently so as not to knick or chip the glass. Overall very satisfied.

Exactly as shown. Purchased with 2 other apothecary jars in different sizes for our kitchen island.Nice glass weight.. not too heavy. Would make a lovely gift.No breakage and package very nicely. Top fits perfect.Can use for candy, nuts, flowers- anything you can think of. This one is large enough to even be a cute fish bowl.I am very glad I purchased.

I love this jar, its very pretty and seems like its good quality. perfect height to fit under my kitchen cabinets without being too tall or too short.
