Easy to use
Battery on my caravan had dropped over winter slightly and hadn't got enough charge to use the motor mover. Put the battery on charge for 48hrs and it was fully charged. Great bit of kit would recommend

NOCO 1A battery charger
NOTE: THIS IS A TRICKLE CHARGER THAT GIVES A 1A OUTPUT SO THE BIGGER YOUR BATTERY, THE LONGER IT WILL TAKE TO CHARGE. IT DOES CHARGE BATTERIES OVER 30AH BUT IT WILL TAKE LONGER TO DO SO. I bought this product because my existing Trickle Charger couldn't recognise a battery that had less than 3% charge and, apparently my battery had fully discharged due to not being used a number of weeks during winter months. I decided to buy a product that promised to charge a dead battery so that if there was no remaining charge at all, I could get it going. My current charger can get my battery up to 100% in around 28 hours due to being Trickle fed rather han high voltage, so was happy to have similar. I expected this one to operate similarly but with the added benefit of recognising a battery with less than 3% charge. The packaging is great. Amazon delivered it without any outer box to hide the product, but it has a sturdy box so wasn't too bothered by having extra packaging. The product itself seems very well made, not at all flimsy and was easy to understand what to do. I so far have it going and thought perhaps it would need to be put on force charge as I believed it to be fully dead, but for some reason, it wasn't working for me, no matter how many times I tried to use that setting by pressing the button for the required 5 seconds. But it appears to be working just on 12v setting, so must have had at least 1% left. Initially I wasn't certain it was on standby mode, as it looked like an orange light from certain angles, but looks red from another. But it is charging, so don't despair if you see a pulsing light and not much else for some time, it is charging. It has a reddish light that's slowly pulsing off and on. If on standby it would just be a solid orange, no charge. I left it for a few days (note: my battery was almost completely discharged so a top up will take far less time) and it's now pulsing green, so it's almost done. I'd have liked to have some kind of indicator of a percentage or amount of charge its up to, just so it's clear its doing something, but it does what it's meant to. I hadn't realised when buying it that it was made for up to 30AH batteries, which excludes most car batteries, yet the description said nothing about this. Reading up on it though, it *can* charge batteries over 30AH, it's just going to take a longer time. So I would say that, if you're wanting to charge a car battery fast, that you get jump leads and ask a neighbour to jump start your car. Or, buy a bigger charger, from 2A upwards, that gives a greater output charge, thus reducing the time it will take. For me, I'm in no rush so I shall just continue using a Trickle Charger and I'm more than happy with this product.

OK when they work but can't be trusted and fail after a short while.
I have had 3 of these now (2 replacements for faulty ones). Maybe I'm unlucky, but I've had 3 these that start off OK, but after a short while (a couple of weeks) fail to charge. The red LED pulses, but never goes green. I tried on 4 different batteries, all of which show as fully charged and good on other chargers, and have been tested and proven good batteries (1 was brand new!). The charger doesn't even seem to be trickle charging. This charger was used on my motorbike over winter, so keeping the battery topped-up is important, but they seem to fail after a short while. I have gone back to my old Motopower charger, which seems to have no problems.

I ordered 5 units, but only 2 came in sealed packaging. One was used before, so it looked like a return. Other than that they all work fine.
