Govee Warm White LED Strip Lights, Bright 300 LEDs, 3000K Dimmable Light Strip 16.4ft with Control Box, LED Lights for Bedroom, Kitchen Cabinets, Living Room, ETL Listed Adapter Included

First off, this is NOT a smart device, it is simply a white LED plug in light strip with adjustable brightness. I knew this going in. I was simply in search of adding lighting to a closet that never had it before. There is a power outlet in the closet, so I was able to plug it in there. I ran the light strip around the interior door casing trim, using Blue Tack to secure it - at 16 ft, it was perfect for the double door sized opening, where the outside edge dimensions of the door casing it's mounted to measuring about 46" wide and 81" on each side.I added an Aqara Zigbee window/door sensor to the closet's double doors, and a TP-Link Kasa smart plug to the included power cord, and set the brightness as high as it goes. Using a Home Assistant automation, when either door is opened, the light strip powers on, flooding the closet with daytime bright white light. Since the strip runs along the outside perimeter of the interior door casing trim, it does not blind you, but instead reflects nicely against the closet interior, lighting it up beautifully.This was reasonably priced at $15 at time of purchase (7/25). A good buy IMO.

I like that they can be dimmed. We ended up purchasing both the warm white and the bright white strands.The warm was too yellow/ orange and the bright was too blue/ white.Together, they produce a cleaner, more natural white light that works really well.In the attached picture, 1 is the warm; 2 is the bright; and 3 is them combined. It may not come across as being that much of a difference between 2 and 3, but IRL, the bright white (2) has a slight bluish tint. Btw, the wall in the photo is a very light gray/ very light taupe color.And seeing as how you can dim them, you can dial the warm or bright up or down to a temperature you like.We have each of them on their own remote switch… but you still need to use the attached switches (buttons) to adjust the brightness.

Attached them to my vanity mirror and it worked perfectly. It’s so bright and looks like it’s built in. I keep it plugged in and I attached the control button to the side of my desk so I can turn it on and off whenever. It’s cool light only but you can turn the brightness up and down (I love that). The wires don’t get in the way and they’ve lasted me a long time , no peelings or lights missing. Good bang for buck situation. I also forgot I bought another pair and hung them on the outside of my vanity area.

These lights have been great for a lithophane backlight from a 3D printer. It's easy to cut at the designated cut points and the brightness control is a nice touch. Didn't need any smart features for this specific project, so the simplicity was a nice touch for it. The adhesive also seems to have stuck pretty well to the walls of the 3D print.

Not Bluetooth: Lights are great this is our 3rd set of Govee light strips and we love the brand. I got these on a super great deal for Prime days however it feels quite misleading that no where in the description does it state these are not Bluetooth enabled. Every other set we have gotten we have been able to control via the app but not these. The lights are still great and brighten up under my cupboards which I wanted but, it is kind of a bummer and feels misleading that these can't be controlled via the app.

Clear instructions, easy to install. Dimmer has only 3-4 settings so but once turned off, lights return to the last setting used which, for me, was useful. I installed the product in my camper van and I'll probably mainly use the lowest dim setting. Plugged into our Jackery (which is a great product) and the lights use > 20 watts per hour.

I bought this to illuminate a stairway which has a dark runner carpet on. It’s backed with a strip you pull off to expose the adhesive side. You’ll finger they’re smaller than expected but that’s not a problem. I recommend working carefully. Measure first by unrolling the lights to see where to start and where the bottom will end up which for us was near an electrical outlet. I started at the top of the stairs, pressing the lights on the wall along the stairs. Take your time, do 2 to 3 inches at a time to make sure it’s straight. There are 5 brightness setting, the lowest one is really bright and the others? Way too bright for me, I use the lowest setting. Still working after 6 months, no dead lights.
