Bedford Introduction to Literature: Reading, Thinking, Writing

i think there's a kanye poem in here. might be a dumb rumor started by upperclassmen, but whatever. i only read poems for analysis, but this book had a vast collection of great works of literature, including my favorite poem "do not go gentle into that good night" by dylan thomas.there's also a bunch of really sexually graphic ones that i dont really remember aside from the fact that i had the shocked reaction of "PEOPLE ACTUALLY WRITE STUFF LIKE THIS IN THE PAST?". think there was one where a guy was trying to get into a girl's pants by complimenting everything about her like her breasts that got really creepy real quick.

Arrived in good condition and on time. Save a lot of$. Reliable purchase

We received an actual copy of the book that did not have writing on it or in it. As a brand new book I found that well worth the price. Thank you for having books accessible at a cheaper price. My son had to buy a Buisiness Law book from a college book store that was $365.00. If we sell it to you guys can we get close to the money back.

I rarely brought this book to class because most of the stories were online and I'm allowed to use my laptop in class.It was difficult to do the assigned homework because my professor would write something like, "Read pages 300-365" and, because she had the paperback version and I had the hardcover, her page 300 and my page 300 were totally different sections. Something must be off-- perhaps an extra page was added to the hardcover, setting off the pages slowly one-by-one?So, if interested in this book, buy the paperback version. :)

This book would have received five stars but pages 2053 to 2116 are missing, and unfortunately, I did not receive a school assignment for these pages until two weeks before the semester is over. Waiting for Amazon to contact me back to (hopefully) resolve the issue. Otherwise, I am pleasantly surprised at how much I love this book (at least the pages I have access to - ha, ha). It is a heavy book, but I have carried it around with me several times to read on the go. It is a beautiful book and one I will continue to read years after this class is over.

This was a great buy. Son is glad the class was over - it was an online class with a horrible teacher. This book has a lot of samplings of many different styles of writing.

This book is worth it if bought used, the condition is perfect with very minor damage and looks brand new.

This edition of an "old chestnut" does not disappoint. The collection is worthy of use in the college classroom which can also be said of all the Bedford editions. I am delighted to own it in my literture library.
