Mountain Meadow Herbs Gentle Birth for Birth Prep/Labor Prep, Fast Acting Liquid Herbal Extract for Childbirth Support w/o Blue Cohosh - 4oz

I took this as the bottle suggested 3x’s a day starting at 35 weeks along side Evening Primrose Oil starting at 37 weeks. I bought this to help me in having a successful VBAC and it did just that ! I went into labor at 39weeks and 3days just 4 days before my due date. The day I went into labor, I had a doctors appt. that afternoon at 3pm. When my midwife checked my cervix it was closed and I was dilated only 1cm. I was determined to have my baby naturally and I knew if I went pass my due date, I would be pushed to get induced ! So I went home that day and started nipple stimulation at 6pmish. Around 7:30ish I began having contractions, I didn’t think much of it. They were a bit strong but tolerable and not to painful. Around 9pm I contacted my doula, we timed my contractions for an hour. They were coming every 2-3 mins and lasting 40sec. and at this point I was in active labor! Right before I made it to the hospital my water broke ! I made it to the hospital at 11pm. My doula could not believe how well I was handling the contractions that were coming an going so quickly, I was literally up talking, walking and breathing through every contraction. My contractions were still strong, effective and very much so tolerable. When the nurse checked my cervix I was 8-9cm dilated, almost fully effaced, soft cervix. The nurses were shocked in how calm I was. They were like you’re handling this pretty well to be so close to possibly giving birth soon! Around 2am I was fully dilated. Due to my babies position *sunny side up* I ended up pushing for almost 5 hrs🥵. I had to have a vacuum suction assistance to help bring his head out of my birth canal. He made his grand entrance at 8:16am!💙 This tincture definitely helped with the birth I envisioned. I dilated so quickly once my contractions started and it also helped prep my body to give birth. If it wasn’t for my babies position he definitely would have been born sooner. Even so, I was still in labor for only 13hours! My birth was indeed gentle, all natural and quick. I did tear a bit only because of the vacuum assistance and even while been sown up it did not hurt that bad. I didn’t think I could do it, I feared I was going to have a 2nd C-section but taking this tincture along side EPO definitely helped me achieve a non-medicated, natural VBAC. I will most definitely purchase this tincture again for any and every future pregnancy I may have❤️

Took it with my first as recommended by the directions on the bottle. Also in combination with 6 dates a day and 24-40oz of red raspberry leaf tea each day also beginning at 35 weeks. For a FTM and 40+3 I began timing contractions at 6pm (in hindsight I was in labor before then and just didn’t know at the time). Baby was earthside at 9:41pm the same night with a completely undmedicated birth and he came out in 1 push (head, sac broke, then his body came out) I didn’t practice push and waited for fetal ejection reflex. Ended with a tiny internal tear that didn’t need stitches. Pain was manageable considering we are talking about birthing a whole baby, and in combination with the dates and tea (because who knows what truly helps and doesn’t) I do think it was effective. Ordered my second bottle to use starting this week with my second baby!

Taste is a little bitter and wish it was a bit cheaper but I do think this helped with my birth. No tears and quick labor!

You obviously can’t truly know, because there are so many variables with labor/pregnancy/birth— but I think this tincture played a large role in a fast and relatively easy labor and delivery. I did not take it 3x religiously as directed but starting at 36 weeks I was taking it at least once a day-aiming for the 3x. Like other reviews mention, it did start giving me some contractions/false labor within days of starting the tincture. I would have contractions every 5 minutes that lasted hours and this occurred regularly for weeks. I truly believe this was what was toning the uterus and softening the cervix. These contractions were never painful but certainly noticeable. At 37 weeks, I was already 2cm dilated and 50% effaced. I did go to 40w5d. Early labor started at 6am and these contractions were consistently 5-7 minutes apart but completely painless and mostly ignorable except they just didn’t stop. 5pm I went for a walk and my water broke. Contractions got much more intense and closer to 2 minutes together by 7pm. They were still completely manageable and I was laughing and joking in between and fully able to talk through them. By 9:30 I was in transition. The contractions for still manageable but required focus/relaxation. We only knew I was in transition because I started shaking and crying involuntarily (not from pain—just hormonal rush) and feeling nauseous. I was pushing my 10:15pm. Pushing was extremely challenging but I am 5’2 with very narrow hips and had an almost 9lb baby with a huge head (14.5cm). She was also born military style (which means the larger top part of her head came out first instead of the small of her head which typically comes out first). Still baby was born at 11:40pm. I think this tincture was the really the reason my uterus was so strong for effective and relatively painless contractions. I also believe all the contractions beforehand cut off time from the real labor. My midwife thinks I may have been already 4-6cm dilated before I even went into labor. I didn’t even finish half of the smaller bottle. Worth every penny, saving myself hours of pain!
