Really useful for a brief explanation of words I come across as a call handler for the NHS.

Helping with my nursing studying

Bought for my student nurse daughter. Don't think she uses it. It is well made though and I think would be a great thing to have. Maybe she will use it more when she is back to uni as she's been on placement. She does not seem to have the need to use it though.

The only country that teaches medicine to complete a medical course at least it will take you 10 years to complete if you have done it for one year it’s not completed. Medicine is very, very complicated.

Highly recommend this to anyone in nursing it's a great resource for study, very comprehensive & a must have for any student in the medical field.

I edit health care-related documents from a lot of places where British English is the preferred flavor of English. The group I work with has a select list of British English spellings in its style guide, but I frequently run into documents that contain vocabulary not found on that list. This dictionary neatly solves that problem. It contains just about everything I've looked up so far, meaning I can check a word quickly instead of having to search for it online. (I bought a companion volume at the same time, but this book is so complete that the other book has gone mostly unused.) And its compact form (it is a paperback, after all) means it doesn't take up a huge amount of space on my usually crowded desk.
