Great pump, good price.
I have used the exact pump in my operation for the past 5 years. It does a great job land is very durable. I have no complaints with the pump. Very easy to switch off to a new one when the old one is worn out.

GREAT motor and pump: HORRENDOUS construction otherwise.
After several years in my sump well, this (expensive and ostensibly "bomb-proof") pump began turning on, then failing to turn off, even though the well had been emptied. So, I disconnected the pump from the power and the PVC pipes to which it was attached, hauled it up, and examined it.1) The NON-STAINLESS screw securing the floating switch to the pump body had rotted and broken-off., and as a result the switch did not turn-off the pump when it dropped into a "random" horizontal position at the bottom of the well. (Who would secure such a critical part to the pump with a screw destined to disintegrate? AMAZING!)2) Close examination of the pump revealed to me that ALL FOUR of the screws securing the water-tight lid to the pump housing HAD ALSO ROTTED -- and that water was beginning to leak into the "water-tight" motor compartment. (These screws were also NOT made of stainless steel.)I have now replaced all five screws with stainless equivalents, tightened-on the water-proof lid, re-attached the floating switch, and tested the pump. (This required drilling one of the screws out and removing it with a screw extractor.) The pump does work again -- which does indicate to me that the motor and switches are of high quality. But it is ASTONISHING to me that a "premium" pump, essential to keeping my basement dry and preserving the value of my entire house, should be constructed SO POORLY.
