Way more comfortable to walk now
My husband needed a if replacement , it made his one leg a little shorter than the other , and I bought him some of the other kind of inserts , and they didn't work it's very happy with these. He's walking better and it's not as uncomfortable

GOOD
Great quality, comfortable shoes, but make sure your heels don't come up if you don't tie your shoes super tight. Easy to walk in. Fills the entire heel of your shoe.

Works great for me after modification
These are interesting. They're comfortable, but the layers do tend to move around in relation to one another (at least initially - they sort of weld together after a bit of use). I think anything designed to offset a leg-length issue is probably going to have to be modified by the end user before it will be "just right" for the individual using it. I hike a lot in the foothills of the mountains behind my house. I have been able to us the Dr. Foot Adjustable 5-Layer Height Increase Silicone Heel Cushion inserts to craft something that's working pretty darned well to compensate for the 1" in leg length I lost in a car accident as a kid. (I'm not going to get into what I did to make them work for _me_ - you'll figure out what you need to do for your own needs.) And I've hiked now a couple hundred miles with the Dr. Foot inserts I've modified, and they're working well - probably better than the custom-built insert I've been using for the last c. 15 years. So - get them. Try them. They're cheap and they work. Just don't expect them to be perfect out of the gate without some tinkering on your part. (Incidentally - they send TWO 5-layer sets of inserts, so I feel good that this is a product that is a value I'll be using for a while. If I need another order next year, so be it - they're cheap.)

Good but too soft
I got these after I ruptured an achilles tendon. I had a boot with heel lifts on the injured side and got these for the good foot. If one heel is raised, the other should be as well to avoid hip and low back problems. These are easy to use; they come in 5 sections, a heel cup and 4 wedges which stack below it. The clear silicon material is sticky so the sections stick together well, and they're quite soft so it's pretty comfortable. The main problem is that they are too soft! After a week or so they were crushing down; as I have slight pronation they crushed more on one side than the other. For my use this didn't matter much as I only needed them for 4 weeks while I was in a CAM boot for the injury. But after the four weeks they were quite crushed down and out of shape, and the sections were so glued together that I couldn't take them apart. Again not an issue for me, but if you want to gradually reduce the lift, it'd be difficult. However for under $15 I got good use out of them, and they come with 2 sets so if needed I could have switched to the other set. If you just want one or 2 sections in each shoe for cosmetic reasons these would be fine. They are not medical grade and definitely not orthotic.

Uncomfortable and inconsistent
Very bad design. The extra layers just fall out and you have to hold it together to get it in the shoe and hope it doesn’t fall apart in the shoe. You can also feel them under your feet unlike every other lift I’ve ever bought

Dr Foot Adjustable 5 Layer Height Increase Insoles
After hip replacement surgery I ended up with a slightly longer operated leg, causing hip pain with every step. Fortunately I found Dr Foot's adjustable heel insert, which greatly helped alleviating the pain. The adjustable insert has a longer base, and 4 short inserts allowing to adjust it to the desired height. All made of transparent silicone, that are sticky enough not to move around in the shoe. I started out with 3 layers, later I was able to remove one layer.

uncomfortable
Doesn’t provide extra height. I stacked all of the inserts together and didn’t feel much of a difference. Rather it was quite comfortable because my feet were sinking into the inserts. I think they should’ve used a different material. It didn’t feel sturdy to me and the inserts did not stay put.

They were excellent and unlike other brands actually stuck to the shoe.
