MSM Rotator, Worth it for Milky Way Astrophotography
As soon as I received my MSM Rotator, I put a 70mm lens on my camera and photographed Orion. I was doing 4 minute exposures and everything came out tack sharp. I bought it for Milky Way photography, and I must say it performed outstanding. I have tried 1, 2, 3 and 4 minute images and the MSM tracked perfectly using 14, 24, 35 and 50mm focal lengths.

Great portable astrophotography rotator, questionable value
I bought the Move Shoot Move (MSM) rotator from their website directly for taking Milky Way and other night sky pictures. The rotator is well built and compact. I have used it to get up to 10 minute exposures with a wide angle lens with a good polar alignment. Attached is an example, straight from the camera, no post-editing.Unless you want/need the small size however, I would recommend a StarAdventurer package. By the time you add the polar scope and a wedge to the MSM, the cost is within spitting distance of the Star Adventurer. That product supports a heavier payload (11lbs vs 6.6), has replaceable batteries and a auto-guider port should you choose to go that route.Lastly, shipping from MSM can be a terrible experience. I received mine in a bit over a week this summer, but a friend who ordered one had it get lost in shipping and it's been almost 2 months now with no product and little help from MSM.

Fabulous Product!
This is built like a tank, yet it's very compact and light weight and very easy to use. It's built for serious photographers. You can have your camera trigger it when you shoot, or you can directly plug in your intervalometer into it and have maximum customization that way. It's really a three in one unit, star rotator, time lapse rotator, and it can be use to take perfectly spaced images to make panos or HDR panos. It can be mounted horizontally, so the screen is perpendicular to the floor. Or, on the side so it's pointing right up when you are trying to line it up with polaris (in the norther hemisphere) to get perfect star trails. This is a new model so a lot of the information that is out there fo this product is outdated. Please note that the new version has much lower speeds, thus panoramas are not possible as they were with the older model.

Amazing timelapse
I have mostly used this for rotating timelapse. Used it on my sony a7r4. Easy to use and works flawlessly. I haven't learned how to use it for ASTRO but works fantastic for rotation timelapse. I'm sure it works great for astro.. it's some what heavy. A pound maybe. I take it on back packing trips. I have a time lapse using it on matticcorey on instagram.

Works great for wide-angle pictures!
The media could not be loaded. You can't use it with heavy lenses but it's great to capture the Milky Way! If your camera is compatible with the hot-shoe, you can also take panorama pictures. I had mine for more than a year and it still works fine. I recently replaced the batteries of the laser pointer and got rechargeable batteries that I found online.

Small, lightweight milky way assistant.
Love the compactness of this unit, small lightweight and easy to put into bag if hiking to a remote place.
