Catch Co 10,000 Fish Shimmer Shad Finesse Minnow Blue Shad 3"

I finally pulled this out and used it. Looks great and I get how it's supposed to work but once I put the hook in to one of these, it started falling apart. The hook ripped right through the bait. I tried another one and the same thing happened. I want to return this but I think it's too late. Must have gotten a bad batch but if they are all like this, these things suck
