Breitsamer, Acacia Raw Honey, 17.6 oz

This Acacia honey is the lightest and cleanest honey I have tried. It might be the perfect option for people who want a natural sweetener such as honey, but don't want the typical honey taste.

As Mary Ann has pointed out in an earlier review, this delicious and healthy honey has now priced itself out of the marketplace, at least in my opinion. On October 11, I paid $13.99 for this exact same honey with free shipping. Today Amazon is selling this honey for $24.00 with $5.99 for shipping for a total cost of almost thirty dollars for something that two weeks ago sold for less than half that price. This is a great honey for health and well being. "Acacia honey has a very low sucrose content and a high fructose level, so it is the best choice for diabetics. It is known for its therapeutic qualities because it cleanses the liver, conditions the intestines, and is beneficial for the respiratory system due to antibacterial properties." I use this honey with my green tea and it makes a wonderful and healthy beverage which I highly recommend. Add some fresh lemon or lime juice, a little ginger, and you will really have something that tastes great and is good for you. Now, back to the honey. Yes, Breitsamer does provide an excellent German Acacia honey, but Olio Carli's Italian Acacia honey is just as good for less than half the price of the Breitsamer. I have just ordered from Amazon the German Langnese Acacia honey for $13.49 with shipping and I will come back later and update this review to tell readers of this review how the Langnese, a famous German Acacia honey, compares with Breitsamer. As mentioned, the Olio Carli is just as good as Breitsamer. Why pay these outgrageous prices for the Breitsamer? Comments?

Super product that does not crystalize in cooler weather....

Excellent honey. Flavorful, but subtle at the same time. Very nice consistency. Well worth the money.

Jar completely sticky on the outside. Does not appear to have been opened, but did it leak somehow? Not acceptable. Honey itself is my favorite-light and delicate.

This honey has an excellent, delicate flavor. It’s smooth, floral, and perfectly balanced. I was pleasantly surprised that I had no allergic reaction to it! Definitely ordering again!

Ok, I realize that this honey isn't inexpensive and I realize that you can buy many, many other brands of honey that have more volume per container and cost much less. But you can never match the absolutely delicious taste of Breitsamer Acacia honey at any price. This is the only honey I've ever used that requires only one teaspoon in my tea and that one teaspoon makes my tea perfect. Simply put, this is the best honey your money can buy. Five easy stars.
