Buy quality don't be too cheap like other ones
Started with a very cheap wt gauge and was not accurate , returned it , searched for one with good reviews, this one seemed to match that and for a good value and a reputable name, even if it is made in China along with other low cost brands of gauges , and is accurate with in 5 deb of a infra red heat gun test for comparison

Reads about 10 degrees hot
It’s reading hot by 10 degrees as confirmed with another trusted thermometer I use for AC work. Otherwise it seems fine.

Easy to install when replacing another sensor, works well.
I installed this on an early 90's cummins that is installed in a 107 year old fishing boat. The installation was nice and easy, and it fit into the existing threaded port using one of the included adapters. The previous indicator was a cap-tube style sensor, and it had long since failed. Because of this, I needed to source a hot and a ground that was common with the engine block (harder than you might imagine on a 107 year old wooden fishing boat) but after that was handled, installation went just fine. You are only given 1 crimp connection in the kit, and it's for crimping onto the sensor wire at the engine side. You will need to provide your own ring crimps for the other connections.I can't say for sure that it is accurate, since I don't have a good way to verify, but even if it's a few degrees off, it's good enough for my needs. My only regret is that I got the black one... shoulda gone for something with a chrome bezel, but that's on me, not the manufacturer.

Transmission Temp gage, Works for Me
Using my Bosch SP0f000049 Temp Gage for a Transmission Temp Gage.Got it mounted today. Checked the Gage with my laser thermometer and was about 1-5 degrees off at various temperatures. Pretty much accurate. Used a GlowShift Universal Single Gauge Swivel Pod to mount it on the left top of my Wrangler dash. Gage fits well and easy wiring except for the light. Haven't found where to hook up to my dimmer wire. I used Anderson Metals Brass Pipe Fitting, Barstock Tee, 3/8" x 3/8" x 3/8" Female Pipe and 2 of Anderson Metals 57001 Brass Hose Fitting, Adapter, 3/8" Barb x 3/8" NPT Male Pipe. The Gage kit comes with several Brass adapters. I used the 3/8 adapter to screw the sensor into. Tapped into the 3/8 rubber hose on the trans output line. Unit MUST be grounded for the Gage to work. In the photo you can see the Blue electrical ground eye, 14-16 Gage under the sensor with a 3/8 washer to take up the slack for tightening. Grounded it to the frame.I Would do it again

Smaller sending unit than the majority of mechanical gauge alternatives
It seems the majority of the other universal gauges out there are mechanical. Ordinarily that would be fine however I found most of them to have a sending unit far too long to actually fit into the intake manifold. I instead had to put the sensor in a coupler in the upper radiator hose which was less accurate and wouldn’t show any readings at all until the thermostat opened. This gauge on the other hand has a sending unit that’s much smaller and I was able to thread it into my edelbrock performer intake manifold without any issue and found it quite accurate and easy to install.

Inaccurate
Had the gauge installed on my newly rebuilt engine so I can monitor the coolant temperature. Shop installed it closest to the thermostat. While gauge reads 210 we measured 161 at the sensor. Can the manufacturer make this right? Thanks
