Sally Hansen Advanced Hard as Nails™, Clear Nail Strengthener, Includes Retinol and Nylon, Nourishing

I decided on day to actually learn what you are supposed to do with your nails correctly and decided to not just buy stuff from the dollar store anymore. That lead me down a deep rabbit hole about which products where best, the types of nail polish, undercoats, top-coats, gels, hardeners and AHHHhhhh! Suffice it to say I am more familiar and comfortable building a fire in my wood stove or fixing things around the house. I am also... kinda of cheap because I have brilliant children who will want to go to college someday and other things I am always saving up for. So, with all of that in mind I started the journey towards finding high quality but not too expensive clear coats. This was one of the 3 I bought and I am absolutely impressed! It lasts for weeks. I am pretty rough on my nails but this stuff just lasted and continued being shiny, smooth and keeping my nails happy. One thing I did notice which is probably just because I have never used anything like this before was that instead of breaking off in one big break like my nails normally do, with this on they flaked in layers or broke in smaller ways just at the tips. It didn't seem like it caused any negative issues because nails will always break eventually, but that was a change in how they reacted I noticed. So for the price and what it is the quality is there. It isn't too thick which is nice, and it dries quickly. Can't ask for much more for a basic hardener/clear coat.

This clear nailpolish is the real deal of hard of nails that makes your nails grow. This brand is difficult to find in the stores now, especially the official sally hansen stores but it's a good product and can make your nails nice and hard. Defiantly a 4 out of 5, especially the price. The texture is thin but the coverage and durability is worth it. One or two strokes will do.

Have used it for decades and it still works to protect my nails with thin coats and last at least a week. I highly recommend this cheap everyday protecting nail polish. Shiny too!

As other reviewers wrote, this Hard as Nails works as well or better than OPI Nail Envy (which I'd been using the last few years). One coat of Hard as Nails (with nothing else) lasts for 2 or more weeks. No need to add an additional coat every day or two, at least if you have no color polish underneath. I have one nail that is damaged and splits easily so this is mostly to protect that one nail and it works great for that purpose and for protection and shine for the other nails.

Been using this for few months and nails definitely growing and stronger. I work in my garden with my hands in the dirt, pulling weeds and gardening on a daily basis and this product has been very helpful to keeping my nails strong. Even if they break off or I have to trim them because they get so long, they continue to grow intakes about a month for them to grow back. I'm type 1 diabetic so for me my nails don't grow as quickly as others and this has been a lifesaver. I feel like a woman now. I don't go to the salon and have my nails done on a regular basis. I depend on this to keep nails strong and with growth and then just shape them myself. They were very brittle, cracking and peeled off daily. This has helped with that a lot by keeping them strong preventing all of those issues. I've been using this stuff for years and highly recommended. I'm 53. So when I say I've been using this product for years though it may have changed its chemicals over the years. Nonetheless, I've been using Sally Hansen's products since I was a teenager and swear by them. I used to be a nail technician many years ago when I could see and always bought from the local store. Their products are excellent.

I had forgotten about Hard as Nails. I used it back in the 90's. Wow, it seems to be even better now. I use it to protect my poor "winter dry nails". I use the clear. I used to use it to protect my fresh manicures so that my red polish would not chip or dull. Can't beat the low price as a bonus.
