This is the second set of these lights we've purchased. The first was a couple years ago and we've been pleased with them. We use these in bedrooms in a remote cabin that does not have electric power.

This is the forth set of these I have purchased. They are attractive, work very well, easy to install and work great in a house that looses power often. I have tried other battery operated lights but these are by far the best.

These look great, and unless you touch them you can't tell they're plastic. Took off a star for the battery. You need to change it to a name brand battery because the one that come in it is really cheap and runs out quickly.

OMG THESE ARE GORGEOUS! We hung them in our den and they add just the right amount of light. They have two brightness settings.. and a timer! At first I was kind of annoyed they didn't come with a remote, but with the timer, its a non issue. Turn them on, and dont worry about forgetting to shut them off .

Over a few months I purchased three sets because I liked them. I don’t use them often. Maybe a few times a month. Batteries last because of the little use. However, the LED light blew out on one. What now? Can I purchase a new LED component or do I throw this away? If I have to throw it away, it’s a waste! A complete waste.

Purchased white & yellowish globe sets a couple years ago. No issues with anything. They actually give off a nice to amount of light. Click on/off at front of base. Two levels of light. Images are the brightest option.

So i have a few areas in my home that are dark once the sun starts to set, and I've been looking for something to add some ambient lighting for those areas. Yes, I have ceiling lights in these two areas that are pictured, but I wanted something I could leave on all the time without having to constantly turn on and off a light switch. My search brought me to these and WOW! The light that these give off is more than I expected. As you can tell from my pictures, the first one is no light (and you can see how dark it is), 2nd pic is on brightest setting, 3rd pic is lowest setting. I've had these for a week now, and have turned them on the lowest setting and just let them turn off automatically with the 4 hr timer (works perfect because I turn them on about 7:30p and they're off after I've gone to bed). They are super easy to install, and I didn't use the provided screws, I just used a nailed and hammered it into a wall location, and the scone sits perfectly flush against the wall (I also have wood walls, so no anchors needed.. but then again, these are relatively light weight, so even on sheet rock I don't think you'd need anchors). If I could suggest an improvement, it would be that the lights would automatically turn on every 20 hours and then turn off after 4 hrs (I had a wall sconce like this before, it was more of a tiffany shade, but sadly I gave it away a long time ago). Based on the 50 hour run time, and I am using these daily, I expect to change out the batteries about every 3 weeks or so... I'll give an update.

These lamps won't run on standard rechargeable batteries. I wish I'd spotted the review that pointed this out before purchasing. Anything in my house that needs batteries uses rechargeables. These take 3 batteries apiece, and I'm not chucking 6 batteries in the trash on a regular basis.Edit: I found that true 1.5v high capacity rechargeable AA batteries will work in this lamp. So far I've only found one company selling them - the EBL 3300mWh 1.5v AA batteries. The bad news is they cost almost as much as the lamps themselves for a 4-pack, even though they're highly rated. I won't revise my rating, because I encounter VERY few appliances that don't work with standard rechargeable batteries. Most flashlights are brighter than these lamps and don't have this problem.
