Fujifilm 16647434 Interchangeable Lens, Fujinon Xc35Mmf2, Black

While this is not a general-use lens, it won't be your catch-all like the 18-55mm zoom or the 27mm prime, it's really great at its price. It's something you swap to when you spot the right target. I'm finding it best for intimate candid portraits amongst friends, getting wonderful mid-conversation faces without being too invasive. I've never tried the XF version this is based on, but the lack of aperture ring doesn't bother me, and the plastic build quality actually makes it super light which I appreciate a lot from this lens. While it's a focal length covered by my zoom, I just prefer the pictures that come out of it when shooting at 35mm. This is my first prime lens with Fuji and I do think it marks a great start, as it's getting me to think about the advantages of primes and teaching me to identify the situations these lenses thrive in and how to capitalise on those opportunities.

This is the all plastic body version of the XF35mm lens. It is missing the aperture control ring and not weather sealed. Otherwise it is functionally the same. Many people have reported it uses the same glass as the more expensive XF version but I don't have that lens to compare with. Picture quality wise, I find this to be very good if a little behind my XF27mm F2.8 fuji lens in some regards. It has almost the same field of view as a 50mm lens on a full frame camera. Faster than the 27mm lens and most zoom lenses, it works well in low light and for portraits. At much less cost than the XF version it is a bargain but being all plastic it is not as strong and needs to be treated with some care. I have noticed some slight differences in its performance on an older Fuji camera. My newer and more expensive camera correcting the minor lens faults more effectively. Which is to be expected.

Pro: price, image quality, light weight Low points: no diafram gear, no metal, no lens hood. I am no expert nor pro photographer, but it looks amazing to me. For the price it’s an absolute must have, especially for people like me that are just hobbyist. I’ve bought for the x-t20 that is not whether resistant, so it’s perfect for me. I can only compare this lens with 18-55 and xf27mm f/2.8 and it’s just incredible. Only thing lacking is a lens hood, Fuji could have insert even a rubber one with it, however a lens hood is quite cheap to purchase. The lack of gear is not an issue for me, I am used to it with 27mm. Can’t wait to try this lens outside.

Great product, great price, slightly cheap feel. No aperture ring but that's why it's an XC and not an XF. Autofocus works well seems to be quick enough. I use this with an XT3 and I've got no complaints about this product, perfect score would need to have some form of weather sealing but optically it's great.

I bought this last Christmas when the price was still £169 to pair with my X-E1. Coming from Nikon system previously also using 35mm, I'm very pleased with this purchase as it's very good pair with my camera, lightweight, sharp and creates really nice bokeh. Just to make note that there's no aperture ring in this lens and also it's not weather-sealed so more caution is necessary when using in harsh, rainy conditions. But overall, I love it!

Small and light lens. Image quality is outstanding. The only issue that its plasticy and has no weather sealing, if this is not an issue - worth the price.

Sí, es totalmente plástico, y carece de anillo de apertura o sellado contra el clima… PERO tiene la misma calidad óptica que el XF35mmF2.0 WR, y cuesta la mitad o menos! Es Fujifilm, y con el podrás hacer excelentes retratos y tener muy buena luminosidad, además es súper LIGERO y compacto. El mejor primer lente para comprar.

This is a great well made lens. It is sharp, focuses quickly, and looks great. If you haven’t tried Fuji x cameras before this is a great lens to start with. This lens convinced me to sell all of my other cameras. It outperformed Full frame Nikon’s and Canon’s on my X-T20. I tested them. I went from 5 dslr cameras to one aps-c camera (the x-t20). For a long time I thought you had to have a full frame to truly get the right combination of sharpeners, detail, and color. Fuji has changed my mind. This lens is great.

Cet objectif offre un excellent rapport qualité prix. Les photos sont piquées, il est léger car ne pèse que 130 grammes. Je l’utilise avec mon XS-10 lorsque je souhaite partir avec un équipement léger, et c’est un combo qui m’offre une totale satisfaction. Son ouverture à F.2 permet de prendre des clichés en basse lumière et offre un beau bokeh. Acheté lors du Black friday à moins 30%, j’ai franchis le pas sans aucun regret. Je suis totalement satisfait de cet objectif et je ne peux qu’en dire le plus grand bien. Je le recommande à tous ceux qui cherchent un objectif léger et qualitatif.
