UV Shield Essence

This is my new favorite sunscreen! It has a high SPF, a UVA PA rating (something that you don't see with a lot of American sunscreens), a smooth texture, it's moisturizing and leaves my skin with a nice, healthy glow. No ashy white cast! I use this as the last step of my daily skincare and it applies wonderfully. It doesn't have the usual sunscreen scent, it's more of a light candy smell. I was shelling out $30+ for clean ingredient sunscreen at Sephora, but this is within a reasonable price range. I will be stocking up!

I like it. I would repurchase it. My skin is somewhat sensitive but doesn’t seem to be bothered by this sunscreen, despite the many botanical-based ingredients. I’ve experienced no breakouts and no stinging or burning, even around my eyes. There’s no white cast on my skin; however, my skin tone could accurately be called white cast, so that probably doesn’t translate for anyone with a darker complexion. It is a hybrid sunscreen, so keep that in mind before buying (or at least don’t fail to do your research and then complain when the product isn’t a good fit for your needs). The real selling point here is the smell, which is light and fruity and oh-so familiar. It took me a few days to pinpoint where I knew the scent from: Fruit Stripe gum. It’s been years since I’ve had any, but I’m certain the smell is the same. I never knew that I needed Fruit Stripe-scented sunscreen in my life, but I’m pretty happy about the development.

For both the blue and orange versions, they are combination sunscreens that use both physical and chemical filters to block uv light. I bought the blue one and I have to say, it's a really good sunscreen. The smell isn't overwhelming but nice and gentle; best way to describe it is a fresh-fruity-smell. Now onto the most important part: no white cast. I applied this to my face with the two finger rule and it rubbed in very nice due to it's silky texture. After just a few moments of rubbing, it disappears and has a non-sticky finish (I have brown skin). It does give you a little glow after you apply it but give it around 10 minutes and it should set matt-ish depending on your skintype (im combination). For only $9.53, I got 50mL/50g/1.76oz which is a really good deal considering most sunscreens sell 50mL from $15 to $50.

I've been using this sunscreen for about a year now. I tried out other sunscreens, but I keep coming back to this one. It's very moisturizing which makes it good for my normal-dry (during the spring and summer) and very dry (fall and winter) skin. It doesn't show any of my dry patches. I don't see a white cast when I put this on and it's very lightweight. I use the two-finger way of applying my sunscreen, and I hardly feel it on my face. Now this does leave the skin with a dewy finish so if you're combo or oily, be aware of this. And if you have sensitive skin or don't like fragrance, this sunscreen does have a fragrance to it. It's not that strong, but it is noticeable for a short time.

This sunscreen is wonderful, like all the Frudia items I've tried. It is thick and moisturizing, which if you have dry skin is perfect. Those with oily skin wouldn't like this one much, as it would probably be too moisturizing. It has a light scent and absorbs quickly. It gives a natural finish and I did not notice a white cast. I have fair skin (NC15 in MAC) so it may be different on deeper skin tones. I have had sunscreens that turn me into Casper, but this one didn't. Definitely lives up to the 50+ spf. I have two areas with a bunch of freckles that darken super easily when exposed to the sun. They are my canaries in the coal mine for gauging my sun protection. Using this sunscreen I saw those two areas begin to lighten a lot, even if I went for a long walk on a sunny day at noon.

Adjust very well to my skin. No greasy and protect me from the sun . No white residue.

It smells amazing on your face and it doesn't feel heavy and rather light. My skin also got better rather than breaking out and my tan has evened out. It also serves to be a great moisture for my skin which I LOVE

I have purchased this sunscreen 13 times. I keep coming back no matter what other sunscreens I try,this one by far surpasses all of them. I hope they make a bigger size. It's an excellent product!
