Probably the most used thing on my keychain aside from my keys.
Everyone’s probably owned a Victorinox classic SD at some point in their lives. Maybe it was your first knife as a little kid, or maybe you’ve just had one on your keychain.I tried the Gerber Dime for a while, but the bottle opener kept digging into my leg when in my pocket (where my keys always are) am scratching anything else in my pocket. Frankly, while a good idea, the dime was not quite big enough to be useful as a true multitool. But it was too heavy and cumbersome. I never used the pliers, which were the main selling point to me. They’re just too small. Get some mini Knipex channel-pliers or a dedicated, medium to full-size multitool if you need something like that in your pants. After the Gerber Dime’s excessive bottle opener and sharp edges started wearing a little hole in my pocket, I got one of these. It’s just a little bit thicker than the old, classic SD and not available in many colors. But it’s a nice, very unnoticeable grey and the features you get for that very minor increase in depth are awesome. You get a usable pen and a little squeeze-flashlight instead of the toothpick and tweezers, which I never used anyway. The light and pen are also on the same side so you can write in low-light situations just by squeezing harder on the part you’re already holding to write with. The trick with the pen is to detach the tool from your keychain and open the nail file/flat-head to use as an extension. I find it a decent stabilizer for writing, even with big hands. If you have only used regular key rings, try getting a Nite-Ize clasp that locks and unlocks. They work perfectly for this because you can remove the tool with ease if needed. For cutting open the tape on packages, you don’t have to remove it from your keychain. I suppose if you have a very small keychain you wouldn’t even need to remove it at all. You’re not going to be writing your memoirs with this pen, but for signing a document or a check at a restaurant, taking some quick notes, etc. it’s fine and you’ll always have it with you.I actually just removed a slightly larger Olight keychain light that was VERY bright for its size and USB-C rechargeable. It was a twist operation design and although much brighter than this little squeeze-light, all I really need a keychain light for is finding something I dropped or finding the keyhole to a door in the dark, which this will do fine. When the iR2 was on my keychain I found myself using the Victorinox light more anyway due to the simple, one-hand operation. This means you can operate the light with one hand and open the lock with the other without having to separate it from the keychain. I think most people who really need a flashlight carry a dedicated, larger one in-pocket these days anyway. Just get an Arkfeld or a Baton, or similar light from your chosen manufacturer.I use this tool a few times every day and it’s great to always have available on your keychain.Apart from the differences I’ve described above it’s identical to any other Victorinox SD. I know it’s probably twice or thrice the price, but if you want to have a pen and a little penlight with you at all times without having to actually carry another pen or flashlight this should work for you.Changing the battery is easy, just stick a paper clip into the little hole next to the battery compartment and it pops right out.If you don’t need the pen, the light, the toothpick, or the tweezers, get the Alox SD. It’s tiny and very lightweight. I keep that one on my work keychain.Judge for yourself if it’s worth the considerable difference in price. The only other similar tool Victorinox makes that I’m aware of is the Midnite Manager, which isn’t always available. I think it has an even more useful tool on it (bottle opener/Phillips head/and maybe even a wire stripper) but was always more expensive and only comes in classic red. I may get one of those someday if they offer it in different color options but for now I’m still happy with this.I hope this information based on extended, consistent use is helpful. Good luck and stay well.

Dark Nights and Pen On the Go
Hello! I love this silver color! My first one was off Ebay and when I lost it I was so sad. I tried finding another cheap alternative but I could not! with the slim size, scissors, flashlight, and PEN.My #1 love for this is the flashlight. Then of course the pen and compact size. When I go out it is great to have the flashlight on my key chain! It's bright enough to see where one is stepping in the dark. If there are other people nearby or in your car. Safety first! It's also great for walking small kids to the car so they won't fall over a rock or something. Flashlight really highlights "look out" don't step there! My first one was used and worn down but this new one still has the emblem cross and it's ---what's the word? Feel-able? if for some reason it is so dark one can just feel the tool to know where to press for the flashlight.Pen : Obvious usage. but really I couldn't find another all in one "office" tool. Pen on a key chain is usually only the pen and it's flimsy though I won't mention the competitors here. They lacked the knife and scissor or needed to be bought separate. Can you imagine how bulky that would be ordering them separately? That's why I didn't! * Use the nail file as an extender. It makes writing easier! Awesome to lend to a friend real quick (yes I show off my knife capabilities!) BEST use? At the doctors! Yes! All the pens were out of ink or stolen and there is one always on my key chain! Carrying a pen is easy but it is easier to lose, misplace, forget and this one is attached!Size: Well seriously, it's about the size of my pinky and it writes, opens packages, nail file ( improv phillips head), it has a key ring that is very strong --- well strong enough so it wont bend apart and fall off whatever it's attached to at least for the few months I had my first one. 8 months?Maybe Cons? I love this little thing!-the flashlight needs to be constantly pressed down it doesn't lock or hold like a switch.-Small and if it falls off the key ring or whatever it's gone like mine! Very difficult if dropped on grass field again.DisagreeOne reviewer mentioned that the battery sucks. When mine arrived the battery was not in the slot yet. It was a 'new' battery still in its plastic casing and I just slipped it in and it worked!

Perfect car key companion!
The pocket knife was pristine and works as it should! It's a little thicker than my previous Victorinox Signature, but that's acceptable given the button battery for the flashlight. There is no risk of accidentally turning on the flashlight because the logo button is recessed.

This is the best keychain pocket knife.
Solid construction and very lightweight. Has a handy light powered by a hearing aid battery and a retractable blue ink ballpoint pen. It takes up very little space on my keychain and I like the color. Previously I was carrying Gerber Dime, which is pretty small for a multitool, but still a bit too bulky to wear with my keys. Granted this is not as versatile as the Gerber, but it is much easier to handle and more discreet. I think it's a good value. The action is real smooth and the design is smart yet simple.

Always have a tiny parking knife like this on your person
Always carry a tiny pocket knife with tools on it like this. I use it so much. My other one broke. I immediately ordered two more just in case. I love the see-through case as well. Great little flashlight.

Great little item
This swiss army knife was a replacement for one that I had lost 5 months earlier and was REALLY lost without it. The newer version has a great white LED light that is very bright for it's size compared to the earlier red ones. Everyone is supprised that it has a pen and that it works quite well. This knife is small and fits well in a pocket with car and house keys attached without being bulky. Knife/scissors keeps very good edges as well. Can't say enough good things about this item. Would defintely purchase again for self or as a gift. Clear/Silver color is different but I like its modern looks.
