**UPDATE JANUARY 2018** The steamer is still going strong! I accidentally broke a clip on the extension pole, and emailed the manufacturer to ask if I could purchase a replacement part -- and another hanger as I had worn out one of the clips. They responded immediately, and just 3 days later I was sent replacements FOR FREE. Wow! Who could ask for more than that! Thank you! **Attention High School Speech parents and coaches! This steamer rocks. Heats quickly and does a thorough job with ease. Wrinkles disappear like MAGIC. I steam my two sons' suits and that of a friend, along with dress shirts, before every meet -- so much easier than trying to deal with an iron. The suits stay cleaner and fresher and the steamer is less harsh on the fabric. I splurged on this steamer after limping along with other methods for a few years, and I am so glad I did! Wish I had splurged sooner! I now use it on clothes for our whole family. I gave the product 5 stars even though there is a slight drawback in use (not enough to deduct a star, for sure) whereby one has to empty the device following each use -- water collects in the base of the unit during use, and the only way I have found to get it out is to bring it to the shower to dump it out. (It does have a detachable tank for filling, here I am referring to water remaining in the base.) A minor inconvenience when considering how much time and effort this steamer saves me, and how nice the clothes look, and how they stay so much cleaner. Buy one! You will be so glad you did!

I bought this because it had good reviews and I was looking for something affordable and easy to move around. I am writing this review after using the unit daily for two months.I really dislike this steamer. Who designs a cup with a round bottom? These people. If you look at the photos, you can see the top of the water basin is round. So when you remove it to add your DI water you have to hold the reservoir and manage to pour from a gallon DI bottle. It requires 3 hands.Second issue, the stand isn’t very tall and the cord crimps when you move the handle down, makes loud noises, and stops producing steam. I had to get a rack to hang the clothes from a higher vertical position. Pants, dresses, or long tops aren’t viable with this unit.Third, you can see in the photos there is a hanger with clips. The clips aren’t capable of holding any weight, so you will need to buy your own clips.Fourth, when the unit does produce steam it is intermittent and produces a significant amount of spray leaving water spots on your clothes.Fifth, it only works on a narrow range of fabrics. I’ve owned other brands and only on rare occasions needed to pull out my iron. I now need my iron daily. It has basically doubled my wotk time (I have an online clothing store). I hate spending unnecessary money, but I’m going to have to buy a different unit.I’m not a reviews giver, but I am tired of being angry about this daily and you deserve to know.The advertising is correct this unit is easy to move around. That is the only thing I like about this unit.

I am writing a review on both the steamer and the costumer service for Pure Enrichment PURESTEM XL.I purchase the item about a year ago and until the day it stop working it work so great that my wife would hardly ever use the iron. We are absolutely happy with quality and performance, unfortunately it stop working. I thought I was out of luck and immediately purchase the same steamer again, knowing that even working only for a year I got my money's worth. When I received the new item I looked at the box and realized that the company offered a 2 year warranty and I contacted costumer service by email, getting a response within a 24hr period with instructions of how to attempt fixing the problem. The steamer still did not work and I contacted them again for the next step. They quickly gave me their requirements to obtain a replacement unit and 3 days later I had a NEW PURESTEAM XL STANDING STEAMER free of charge, delivered by Amazon. I was so impressed with the costumer service and integrity of the company that I felt compelled to write this review. Needless to say I am very happy with the product. Both my wife and I have decided to keep to other for the second floor of the house for quick ironing.PS. Like many of the people leaving reviews were the item broke, I also open the Steamer to find lots of mineral deposit in the electronic components. I will now make sure that all water is remove from steamer when not in use and to use vinegar or mineral deposit remover occasionally to extend the live of my steamers.I recommend this item and the company that makes it to anyone what needs a good reliable and fast steamer.Good luck!
