Clinique High Impact Mascara | Lengthening, Volumizing + Safe For Sensitive Eyes

i love this mascara. i usually get it in brown because it looks a little more natural. i briefly tried a waterproof tubing mascara, hated it, and went right back to using this. this mascara isn't clumpy & spreads eyelashes out while lengthening them. looks gorgeous & lasts for a long time.

I always keep a mascara in my car. I bought this one for my car, for those touch ups at red lights! It is such a good mascara I bought another for my home and my purse! Good lengthening, does not flake off, lasts a good while, isn’t dry.

Comes off easily with water. A no-nonsense mascara. Worth it I guess, since anything cheaper irritates my eyes.

I had put off buying this for months, but when my usual mascara (Lancôme definicils) was nearly empty and it was time to reorder, I decided it was time to try this one.I chose it because I'm a natural strawberry blonde, and the black honey has a reddish brown hue to it. I was hoping it would look more natural. However, like even my usual mascara, it's too dark to notice much of a difference (I always buy brown). I'm also not crazy about the brush. Lancôme's definicils has a thinner, stiffer brush that helps me get all the way to the lash line (my lashes are long, but nearly clear/invisible in color) and the brush doesn't yield when I wiggle it through my lashes to get the entire upper and lower lashes completely coated like this one does. It's just too flimsy/floppy.That said, the color isn't BAD, per se, it's just not light enough to show the richness of the reddish brown that I was looking for. The formula is also creamy and comes off with just a little water and a gentle tug (I'm pretty sure this is a tubing mascara from the way it came off). It doesn't rub off easily or settle under my eyes like cheaper mascara, but it really doesn't hold up when compared to the ones at the same price point.It's not a terrible mascara; it just isn't worth the money, because there are better mascaras for the same price (or less, even). I just wish it has been a little lighter in color, because when it's worn, the "black honey" just looks...well...black. Clinique already makes this mascara in black; that's not what I was looking for. Why bother making a different color at all if it's not going to actually look different? Listen to your customers; if they want brown, give them brown - not just another black mascara.

Thin wand I love. Does not clump

I have used many many different mascaras over the years & I actually received a sample of this one & it worked so good I have been buying & using it since(about 4 yrs). It is pricier than what I’d normally buy myself, but you can catch it on sale occasionally. It works great, cleans off easily as well. It is in no way waterproof & will run, but other than that it’s a great mascara.

I won’t be repurchasing, but it wasn’t a total fail—just not the right fit for me.

I bought this after trying a sample of high impact in black and lamenting about the price. But unfortunately this mascara is SO worth the cost. It applies so perfectly without being heavy - it feels like you’re not wearing anything. It separates and lengthens without smearing under your eyes. The color is better than I could have imagined. It really makes my blue eyes pop but doesn’t look out of the ordinary. It washes off cleanly but only when you’re ready. It doesn’t flake under my eyes for that dreadful raccoon look - it’s so hard to find a non-waterproof mascara that does this. Sometimes it can go for some reapplication later in the day/night but doesn’t clump when you do that. It looks just like another layer. I’m sad that it’s not cheap but hopefully the tube lasts a while.
