Fit and function as good as original
No difference in original functionality and fits tightly in place. Save all screws and make sure gasket is in place. Should watch online videos before attempting to replace. On a 2018 Ford Focus SE had to actually loosen the exhaust manifold to fully access one of the retaining screws. And of course remove the headlight to make the job easier. The smaller inner securing tab insert of the headlight pulls straight outward to release. Do not attempt to lift or twist. Also, will need a combination SAE and metric wrenches to remove all of the parts. Would think they would have that figured out by now.

Take the Headlight Out, Do Yourself a Favor
I'm pretty strict about using OEM parts and this is no exception. The part was an exact fit with zero issues. My advice to anyone changing this part on their Ford Focus is to remove the right headlight. I can't speak to other models, but the minutes involved with removing two headlight bolts makes accessing the thermostat a lot more comfortable. Sure, you can do it with the light installed, but why suffer?

Worked properly. Resolved p0128 code
Got the dreaded p0128 cel code on a ford focus. This solved the problem after install. Install was a real struggle. Ford used spring type clamps on the thermostat hose which are exceedingly hard to remove if you don't have a spring clamp removal tool. I had to buy the tool. With the tool the spring clamps came off without too much problem.
