Nature's Path Organic Rice Puffs Cereal, 6 oz (Pack of 12), Earth Friendly Packaging

Awesome cereal!! This stuff looks and tastes a lot like Honey Smacks, except without all the sugar! Amazingly, it still tastes good... Uploading a photo so you can get a better look! I ordered this cereal because my husband and father (both being cereal killers like myself) pour really, really big bowls of cereal. With my dad's Parkinson's he doesn't always remember that granola shouldn't be eaten in excessive amounts quite like cereal might be. So light, low calorie, and possibly flavorless I came... All three of us were quite pleasantly surprised!! I thought based on the nutrition facts that it would be okay for mixing other cereals with but we actually like it, even plain. It really depends on each of our individual moods but the good news is pretty obvious... 50 calories per cup?! Must taste like those fiber pellets or worse, right? Nope! And it's been all we've ordered since we tried it! It might not be loaded with fiber or protein but shoot, the men can have huge bowls full of this stuff (okay, me too sometimes!) and no guilt about it! Good stuff and my 4 yr old, very picky, granddaughter even likes it! Another recommendation... Our usual most favorite cereal has gone up a bit in price recently but we love this stuff still! (Subscribe and Save savings also help) Not nearly as light but yummy! Our most recent favorite is low carb and developed by an MD cancer survivor... Yummy stuff and a great overall choice in my book. Orgain Organic Protein Plant-Based Powder, Vanilla Bean, 2.03 Pound If you're looking for a good cereal that already has a decent amount of fiber and protein while still non-GMO, organic, and flavorful... I'd still recommend the Nature's Path brand, also available here via Subscribe and Save. Lots of delicious, healthy choices and we love their snack bars too! I love this cereal. I eat it with milk and a little sugar. Sometimes I put sliced bananas or raisins but it's delicious plain. Really top quality.

Can't buy local

With the increased scrutiny of processed foods, this is a wonderful cereal with skim milk. Minimally processed grain that goes down smooth with no useless refined sugar added. Do yourself a favor, for your kin, eat healthy, live longer. This cereal is a good first step towards that goal. Throw away the morning bacon, buttery croissant, or deep-fried donut, this is puffed wheat is the best way to start your day!

I have not found this product on a store shelf for many years. (Many stores sell a similar product that is, likely intentionally, mislabeled. It is sugar with puffed wheat added). I have found this to be a good item for weight management. Full serving of whole grain wheat, 50 calories. Fill a bowl, add unsweetened almond milk and get a 100 calorie breakfast. Add fresh berries to round it out/up and you have a nutritious, filling, satisfactory breakfast for under 200 calories. What’s not to like?

Twelve-pack of 6 oz Puffed Rice packages (see 4 images), from Natures Path Organics brand, arrived less than 48 hours after ordering and arrived on time. All 12 packages were still vacuum sealed. This particular puffed-rice tastes kind of 'roasted', making it the yummy-est puffed rice so far (in my opinion). Its great for an evening 'bowl of cereal-snack', or as a snack right out of the bag. As long as price stays around 58 cents per ounce, I will continue to buy the Natures Path Organics brand. Please note that the bags say that the rice is "produced in a facility that also processes wheat" (see last image; #4). But, this is the second time I have purchased this puffed rice 12-pack, and I haven't had any wheat-allergy related issues...yet (i.e., So far, its been safe/not cross-contaminated). So a 'good-job' goes to the manufacturer! If I have any issues in the future, I will post an edit. But for now, this is my preferred brand, and I will buy it on a regular basis. I love this cereal! Crunchy and delicious addition to yogurt or cottage cheeseI love these KAMUT puffs! Great brand! And great value for the price! These are a must have product in my pantry!
