Good Paper Weight
I bought this knowing full well what it was, but the mrs wanted to see if it would help at all where she was working. It did not. You'll likely get cooled down quicker standing in front of the open refrigerator/freezer door to get more ice cubes to put in this thing than you will sitting in front of it at your desk.Pros1) It's all plastic, so it won't rust on you.2) It'll hold down the papers on your desk so that the larger fan you use to actually cool yourself with won't blow your papers all over the place. Just be careful not to spill the water on your papers if you need to move them. Helpful hint: Put a couple small rocks in it instead of ice cubes and it will do better holding down your papers with less risk of getting them all wet causing the ink to run.3) Still trying to think of more here.Cons1) If you want to cool your room or home with a swamp cooler, you will need a much larger one in order for it to actually be affective.Don't waste your money.

Cutest personal AC ever?
I bought this because I’m working from home (in the breakfast nook lol) and I didn’t want to buy a window unit for a temporary situation, but hot days are nigh. So I needed a thing-o that blew cold air, took up a small space, didn’t use up a whole lot of electricity, and didn’t cost a whole lot. This cute little contraption fills all of those needs plus. And it works! On hot days I’ve been filling it with cold water from the fridge and pointing it right at me, and it’s been cooling the area around me nicely. I haven’t had to fill it with ice yet, but I’m positive that on super hot days coming up that’ll work splendidly. Bonus: it has an adorable nightlight option, it’s a negative ion generator, and you can put essential oils in it. It’s smaller than I thought it would be, a little taller than a can of soda, and I love that, plus the fact that it holds a charge. The fan definitely doesn’t blow as hard when it’s not plugged in, but I don’t plan to use it as a portable AC.

It's good basic fan for one individual
It runs for about 2 hours and needs to be very close to your face for you to feel anything, but for my purposes which was to have another USB recharged/powered fan around that would be able to get extra power from solar panels and USB power packs in case of blackout, this works great. I waited until the first power outage in the NYC heat wave we just had in order to know that it kicked in when the power was off, and indeed, it automatically coninuted operating. I added ice water the moment the power went off, and then got well over 2 hours on the battery before it turned itself off. I then plugged it into a powerpack which was getting its power from solar panels and it continued to work. It might not be the strongest, and if you move it slightly, the water spills, BUT in this power outage this week, this fan kept going for me, giving me a little comfort around my face and neck. To add to it, I wore wet gaiter on my neck and chin and one on my head, and that combined with the air flow of this fan was very helpful. I admit, i have better ice fans which must be powered by a/c, putting out much cooler, stronger air flow than this one, but for the battery power option, this is an alright, not great, but alright option.

Probably worth about $10
My expectations for this product were very low, and it still manages to disappoint. I never expected this thing to blow me away with ice-cold air or anything, so I'm not necessarily knocking this aspect of the product (although I will say that there's no notable difference between using it "dry" versus having ice water in it or anything). However, this thing is cheap and poorly made. It's loud as hell and has a huge footprint for what's basically a USB-powered fan. After a day of owning it, the front shutters started rattling making it extra noisy. The power is also improperly regulated, causing it to fluctuate in intensity every few seconds. The filter is also falling apart, and I've only used it a few days now.Overall this product is simply not worth the price. It's essentially defective, since I can't use it reasonably due to how noisy it has gotten, and even then, it's so ineffective at cooling that you'd be better off buying a dollar store fan and using that instead.

Not what i was expecting
So i read all the reviews. People said it worked well for them in offices etc. I was still skeptical because it works if you are inside a place that already has ac on. And then i read that people used it even un their garages and it did the job. So i said if it works for the outside than it has to “cool” a little no? When it arrived i turned it on put some water and it cooled really nicely, but then the second time it didnt cool as much as the first one I thought i didnt do something right. Anyways to wrap it up in general it works, ( air comes out) but it not necessarily cools down, ive tried putting ice and cold water and i cant feel the difference. And im inside my house (my grandparents dont believe in AC)

Not recommended
I don’t recommend this fan.Does not really do its job.I tried ice cubes and cold water but it’s still hot even though I’m sitting right next to it.Not worth the money. Also, I noticed I get headaches whenever I turn this on these days.Turns out that the white sheets inside the machine turned brown, and I’m guessing they’re also causing me allergic reaction especially sneezing. If you see the picture, the sheets collect dust!!I tried washing them but it was no use.I’m planning on throwing away the sheets and use only the fan part.Overall, horrible product that should not cost over $10.

Exactly What I Was Looking For
Met my needs which included a cooling fan at my night stand, quiet while noise, easy to clean and easy to use.The one thing to be aware of are the front vents. The sound level is dramatically louder when the vents are in certain positions. It took me a few tries to set the vent at the quietest level. It is portable with the ability to be charged. It fit my needs and worth every penny!
