Removed year old grout/thin set mortar from shower drain.
Great product but you need patience and additional tools depending on what you need to dissolve and how old the material is. We renovated our guest bathroom a year ago but we didn’t know we had a slow drain until we had guests a few months ago. Long story short I tried everything and quickly realized we had hardened grout and thin set mortar in the drain. Purchased this product and poured half a cup at first. Didn’t dilute just straight up poured it down the drain. Used a hanger and a hand held auger to breakdown the material in the drain. I let the solution sit for four days and would use a hanger to try and breakdown further every couple of days. On the fourth day I rented a wet/dry vacuum. Sucked out the old solution. Poured new solution. Let it sit for 30 minutes and used a pressure washer as instructed. Repeated this six or seven times until an explosion of thin set and grout came out of the drain. On the last round I used the pressure washer and sucked out debris from the drain. Poured hot water and bravely turned on the shower. Voila! No overflow. No blockage. This product saved us thousand of dollars. I almost gave up but told myself to be patient. Some tips. It will stain your tiles. We have dark gray hexagon tiles with black grout. I didn’t prep the are they first time and got a little splatter on the grout. It did come off but only bc I cleaned it off right away. When you use the pressure washer stuff will come back up. I am so happy I prepped the shower floor. The mess was manageable bc of the layers of protective material. You can’t just pour and wish for the best. You need above mentioned tools. I would also like to add I’m handy but don’t know much about plumbing. I was determined to do this on my own. I was also happy to be away from two toddlers to tackler this :-) Good luck, hope above was helpful.

This Product is Magical
This product literally saved me over $2K. Roto Rooters gave me an estimate of $2,500 to unclog the grout from my Bathroom shower pipes and off course I told them to get TF out of my house. I paid this idiot who claimed to have experience in tiling showers, not only was the job messed up, this idiot sent Grout down the drain so off course it clogged up. I spent hours trying to snake it through. I used two commercial snakes borrowed from The College maintenance down the street from my house. Why two? The first one broke, the tip on the front of the snake literally couldn’t do the job, second snake was just not doing it either. Finally, I looked up other options online, and I saw this product. Heck, I had nothing to lose. I definitely wasn’t going to spend $2K to do it. This product worked amazing, used as instructed plus more, I kinda cheated and just sent about two cups down the drain. And let it sit and came back about two hours later and ran the hot water. Like magic, I just heard the toilet water drain out as if something just broke through the pipes. That grout was dissolved and now my drains are clear. This product is amazing and wish I could give it 10 stars!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Doesn’t break up concrete blockage
So I have 3/4 inch pvc conduit for electrical. I have filled the conduit with the product. It has been sitting in the pipe for now 24 hours and nothing has improved. Still completely blocked up. Looks like I’m jackhammering the walls to lay new pipe.

Pretty sure it solved a nasty little problem in a drain pipe
First, what was the problem I was trying to solve? There was concrete in a 3-inch laundry room basement drain that had totally blocked flow. The concrete has been blocking the drain for some 50-years! I wanted to use the drain. The family lore is that I poured concrete down the drain when I was a youngster. (I got blamed for everything, I was that sort of a kid) It was a lie! Ha. I say a workman who did some concrete repair in the basement years ago cleaned his tools and swished out the remaining concrete in his bucket by pouring it all down the drain without flushing properly. The only thing certain about the truth of the matter is that the drain was fully blocked. No flow. Nada. The drain would backup instantly. It is a 3-inch elbow drain and so it is difficult to view. I ran a camera down the drain and saw the blockage before I started using the Korkay. The Korkay was going to solve my problem, or I would have to bust up the floor. Let's try the Korkay, I thought, before opting for a major headache and expense. I used the Korkay as recommended, agitated the solution in the drain, and let it sit for 4-days. I sucked out the solution with a wet/vacuum and repeated the process a second time with fresh solution using the same procedure. Tis time I let the Korkay solution sit for a week, agitating the solution from time-to-time. The Korkay produced no fumes. I crossed my fingers, ran a hose down the drain (shielding the area in case it splattered back at me) and turn on the hose with a blast, ready to shut off flow if it started backing up. What happened? The drain emptied like a champ, and I let the hose run at full blast for 20-minutes. Did the Korkay work? Well, the drain was totally blocked before using the Korkay; there is no doubt about that point. Now it is totally flowing and emptying as it should. You decide. I liked the solution because it is biodegradable, easy to use, and did not outgas with fumes. I had my doubts whether this was going to work, but you cannot argue with the results. The cost of the Korkay versus the cost of busting up the surrounding floor to correct the plumbing issue - no contest. I gave it 4-stars instead of 5-stars because technically I cannot prove that it degraded the concrete issue, although the results suggest that it did. As to all that lore, who cares. The drain flow is perfect now.

It works!
I thought my ac was leaking so I had it serviced. It still leaked. The technician returned examined the unit and advised I had concrete in the drain pipe which prevented the water from flowing. He suggested repiping the ac….. that would be pricey. So I searched Amazon and found this. I waged a bet with the technician and I won. Use as directed. A water vac and a fish wire was needed. All was complete within 2 hours. We poured the solution and waited then flushed with water then poured some more solution and you could hear the flowing. The fish wire was used to ensue the pipe was clean and the vacuum took up the extra water and dissolved concrete from the pipe. Worth every cent. Thanks for making this product available.

Works! I used without diluting.
My idiot contractor washed grout down my brand new shower drain. The drain has elbows because he thought the drain HAD to be moved from original spot. Anyway, brand new shower would not drain for 2 months. A 10 min shower left me standing in 4 or 5 inches of water. Could not get RotoRooter snake thru elbows in pipe so I tried this. It took 2 days but drains perfectly now. This is what I did: poured dissolver in drain pipe to the top, wait an hour, ran shower til it filled about 2 inches, used plunger to break concrete loose and push water thru, sucked it all out of pipe with shopvac. Repeat. I did this every hour and every time it drained a little faster. The last time I went thru the steps, the water drained perfectly. I did fill the pipe with dissolver before bed last night so it had all night to work. *I am thrilled with this product! My only other alternative was jackhammering the shower floor, moving the drain back to where it was originally, re-pouring the concrete floor, re-tiling, grouting and sealing.

Same efficacy Just lower VOC doesn’t work on vertical surfaces
Bough this one because did some mistakes with my micro-cement application. Did two applications snd a power wash and still did not remove the micro cement. Thus product just does some minor etching and that’s it. Works better on horizontal surfaces, the vertical ones just drips away and doesn’t has the time to react
