They keep getting better!
This knife is perfectly balanced in your hand. I didn't know what "perfectly balanced" really meant until I held this knife. The rosewood handle not only looks good, but is extremely comfortable. The blade, as with all Victorinox knives is razor sharp. If you haven't bought a Victorinox kitchen knife before, but have a few Swiss army knives, the sharpness does not compare. The kitchen knives are infinitely sharper out of the box. If I had to compare this blade edge to a pocket knife out of the box, I would say it's in the same category as Spyderco blades. You will not be disappointed with this knife and it will quickly become your "go-to" knife when you need one in the kitchen. To give you one example of how sharp it is, it cuts through a stick of frozen butter as if it were a stick sitting out on the counter at room temperature. And don't let the sharpness scare you off. The sharper the blade, the less force it takes to make your cut and with less force there is less chance that the blade will slip.I should also mention my wife used to be a chef so she has a bag of high quality kitchen knives, BUT she always grabs for this one when she makes anything! It is a super light, yet high quality knife.

My favorite kitchen knife ever
I’ve tried several kitchen knives over the years from cheap no-name brands to more expensive ones from better-known companies. I recently purchased this one and it has been phenomenal! The blade size and shape is perfect for regular kitchen cutting tasks, the handle is comfortable, the knife is light in the hand, and it is SHARP! The thin blade profile helps it glide through whatever you’re cutting. Due to this thin blade, I’d be hesitant to use it for cutting through bones, but for typical food items, it’s amazing. The blade also holds its edge and only needs a periodic light maintenance on the steel. I wash it by hand after every use and wipe the blade dry, so I’ve not seen any signs of corrosion (it is stainless steel after all). Most definitely my favorite kitchen knife ever and would definitely buy this again.

Sharpest knife in the hood
Love this knife. Holds it's sharpness well, even when used on a wood cutting board (which has a tendency to dull the blades). Feels good in the hand, nice weight to it (I'm talking about the knife...get your mind out of the gutter). Def a fan of the Victorinox knives, I own several. Great buy for the money.

It is my new favorite kitchen knife!
Very versatile, I use it for vegetables and fruits and other general cutting duties during food preparation. Keeps a sharp edge. My pre-purchase research had this brand knife as the most mentioned suggestion for non-professional users. All a typical user needs is this knife, a chef’s knife paring knife and bread knife. The steel holds an edge quite well with the weight being well balanced. I ordered the wood handled version for it’s aesthetics.

Really comfortable, sharp knife.
Perfect for cooking dinner. Have no idea about this knife in a professional setting, but great for light daily use and I haven’t had to sharpen since I got it. Rosewood handles are a lot more comfortable than fibrox in my opinion.

Very sharp
When I got it was disappointed because the handle is a lot thinner than my other boning Victorinox knives. Thought I got ripped off, but then I used it. Just as sharp as my others and the thinner blade makes cutting veggies just like cutting through water. Great knife, I really like my Victorinox knives.

Swiss Army Quality
An ideal knife for home cooking. The Granton is excellent at cutting vegitables. I also own the Forshner (aka VictorInox, Swiss Army Knive co.) 10 inch chef knife with rosewood handle and the Forshner 10 inch rosewood handle bread knife. All excellent products. Please remember, hand wash only and immediately towel dry. Dish washers ruin wood handles.Sure you can spend hundreds even thousands on cooking knives and you should if your greatest desire is impressing your friends and neighbors. If you want a very good kitchen tool, use Victorinox/Forshner.I do not recommend the Victorinox paring knife. Those Swiss Mountain boys really missed the mark with their Victorinox paring knife design. And to keep these knives sharp, I've had great success with the simple Wusthof 2 stage precision knife sharpener. Just $20 bucks on Amazon, Those steel rods found in knife block sets don't work and the electric grinding wheels are certain ruin to any knife.Wusthof Precision Edge 2 Stage Knife Sharpener
