Q: How many cards are in the base game? I want to buy sleeves for them but want to make sure i get enough

There are a total of 343 cards in the base game. 199 player cards, 5 of which would have to be sleeved so that both sides are visible (the hero cards are double sided). 137 encounter cards, 6 of these are double sided main scheme cards. 7 reference cards which don't need to be sleeved. Hope that is useful.

Q: Is this the English language edition?

It is my son that has these games but as we are English I can’t imagine him buying something that wasn’t in English language. Hope this helps.

Q: Why do the pictures not match the selection on the sleeves

The pictures do not match the description. I ordered: 4 Blue, 3 Orange, and 1 Purple to go with the core set and I got: 4 x Captain America and 4 Purple. Buy from elsewhere.
