Nice simple little guide. Easy for kids to read

This little guide is fascinating, but there are several pieces of misinformation that are pretty unacceptable, my main issue being the VERY INCORRECT sizings for mouse and rat habitats. The square inch measurement listed is absolutely unacceptable, and I wouldn’t recommend this book until it’s fixed. It’s also pretty geared towards children, which I find odd since there are a lot of creatures in this book that seem... an advanced choice, and not hands-on at all. That being said, MOST OF the information in this book is very helpful and interesting! :) I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys exotic pets.

Great book with lots of information

Using this as part of our homeschool zoology study this year. I love how it not only describes the creatures, but also how to provide a good habitat and care for them.

Excellent advice on care of insects, arachnids, and other exotic pets. Habitat size recommendations are generous, though substrate recommendations may not be easy to find in the US, other than coconut coir. My only gripe is that the organization of the book could be improved- put all the insects and arachnids in one section, mammals in another, reptiles and amphibians in their own, etc. Even alphabetically organizing the entries would be an improvement- but that’s on the publisher, and only minorly detracts from the overall usefulness of the text.

This book is interesting to read. I love the pictures of the animals and their set up. The drawings are cool. The care guide is well written and funny.
