KYB KG9025 Gas-a-Just Gas Strut

I have never had a problem with KYB struts. They work well on my old 4Runner and are of good quality. No worries, buy them!

These are actually struts, and I had them installed on my 1999 Toyota 4Runner limited 2wd. I had the monroes before, not sure the type, but they were way too soft. I bought the car used but from what I remember riding in these cars when I was younger was they were quite firm from the factory. My impression is that they are a softer and more forgiving ride than stock, increase in the comfort factor. They handle well so far, especially in these rough streets of Jackson, MS. They also lifted the car back up a tad, perhaps to stock height. I was considering the monomax but they seemed way too extreme. KYB says the gas-a-justs are "restore or more" and they seem to be made to quell the complaints of the 4runner being to stiff. I'd get these if you want a slightly more forgiving ride than stock.

These are fantastic! They gave my 4runner nice stiff responsive handling, and a pretty smooth ride. They have held up well to off road use, I highly recommend them.

Installed these on a 2002 Toyota 4Runner, installation was easy and they made such a huge improvement over the worn out stock struts.

(1). On the Original shock the spring bottom end sits facing the outside, the KYB does not. I ended up choosing it to face forward.(2). The bottom mount is higher than the original, so when it come to installing it will be taller. So i used the equipped bottle jack to push down on the upper control arm. It feels wrong but it will work.

The starts are a great value. However I had to return them. They were an inch and 3/4 longer than the origin.I did not to raise the front of the 4 runner. I like the KYB shocks for I did use them on the rear.
