I will not use another brand of pen after discovering these! The feel of the barrel in your grip is smooth, comfortable and functional. The design is clean, sharp - making it durable and able to withstand drops and even my dog thinking he can write as well. They write so smooth and the ink doesn't smudge. While the price isn't the cheapest on the market, they are worth every penny spent - I have purchased multiple to keep in different spots around the house, my purse, my travel writing bag, my desk and the fun part, you can purchase ink refills in different colors to change things up if you like! I currently have pink, burgundy, purple, blue and black and if I can find other color refills I will get them as well. I can't say enough good about this pen!

This may appear to the casual observer like just another overpriced disposable pen, but don't be fooled. This is a high-quality refillable writing implement that is designed especially for people who suffer from hand pain issues. I have osteoarthritis in both hands, and the pen was recommended to me by my physical therapist. I have only had it for a month, but it is extremely comfortable and easy to use. It feels like it could last for years and years with proper care. The best part is that it's completely refillable with standard G2 cartridges. The fact that it uses gel is a big bonus for me as that is my preferred type of pen. It's true that this costs a little bit more than disposable pens, but that is not really a fair comparison. It makes much more sense to compare this pen, high-quality refillable pens that generally cost quite a bit more money. When you consider what you are getting, this is a great value. As it becomes more difficult for me to use other pens I expect this will be my new go to writing tool. I like it so much. I'll probably end up buying a few more, not because this one will wear out, but because I am the type of person who likes to have pens available wherever I go. If you suffer from hand pain, seriously, give one of these a try. Yes you can buy a 10 pack of cheaper pens for the same price. I've tried them. They are not the same. The weight, ergonomics, functionality and quality of this pen are top-notch. Well, worth the money.

I had a stupid incident years ago that led me to a hairline fracture in my right ring finger. Eventually I had to go do some minimal physical therapy and because I am right handed, it was affecting my daily lifestyle. I am a heavy hand writer, and couldn't write comfortably after having this fracture permanently. My physical therapist told me about these pens and they're a staple product for me ever since. The grip part that you rest your finger on is smooth and gummy that it doesn't keep rubbing on your skin. They write very smooth, can sometimes smear, but very good quality. Def buying over and over again. Save money though on buying refills for these rather than a new pen every time because they can be a bit pricey.

Great pen the larger barrel makes it much easier to hold the pen. The fine point allows for writing in small spaces. The Gel results in smooth, clear writing.

I work at a very busy pharmacy. With that said, we get tons of verbal telephone order from MD office as well as scripts on voicemail. I dislike the cheap generic pens that we have. Writing fatigue is a real issue when you have to write to the speed of someone reading doctor's order at lighting pace. The Pilot Dr. Grip is the best pen that I've used, aside from the G2 Pro which is also a Pilot pen. Trust me, I have been through countless different brands until I ended up with this one. It is a very beautiful and professional looking pen. In fact, my co-workers always seem to try to steal it from me! I love the size and soft grip which makes it easy to handle. The cheap pens are too skinny in my opinion to give optimal comfort when writing. The pen's weight is just right: it's not too light nor too heavy. Depending how often you use this pen, it may last you a year or a couple years. I tend to use this everyday that I'm working (roughly 10 hours days) and I had to replace this pen twice in the 2 years. The pocket clip is not as sturdy as I would like. It can be broken fairly easily if you're not careful. The best feature is the ink refills that you can buy to make this pen last. The refills are sold on Amazon at a very reasonable price. I buy a bulk order and it last for months. I normally rotate between the black and blue refills. Despite some cons, as a pharmacist, I highly recommend this pen. 7/2019 - > 2 years later, I'm still a huge fan. It's all about the refills.

If you like a thicker pen to hold with a little weight theses are great. Not super heavy but weightier than the basic cheaper pens. Grip is really nice to hold too. I’ve had to keep a close eye on it though as everyone who picks it up in my office tries to sneak off with it.
