Located on the island of Madagascar at the heart of the Indian Ocean, in the rich valley of the river Sambirano, this plantation flourishes on the land of a former mango tree forest. The beans of these cocoa trees have enabled me to develop a highly flavoured chocolate, blending aromas of exotic fruits, delicious flavours of honey spice cake and acidulated hints of citrus fruits. "Mangaro Noir" received a gold star during the "Great Taste Awards 2008"Êorganized in the United Kingdom by "The Guild of Fine Food". 65% Madagascar cocoaÊ 100g / 3.5 oz

Delicious chocolate bar!
My very favorite chocolate. A square is enough to satisfy. It's grown on an old mango plantation, so is very fruity but with no infusion of artificial flavor. Tastes a little like chocolate covered cherries. Great mouth feel and flavor. Yum!

Not worth $50.00+ per pound.
There are many just as good chocolates available at my local grocer for less than half the price. I especial like See's candy from California, but I can only find it locally around the holidays. I find this chocolate rich in flavor, but I don't like what to me taste a bit waxy. I prefer the Belgian chocolate Neuhaus which I find smoother and is available where I buy my groceries for less money than I paid for this 2.46 oz. bar.
