I'm very happy with my purchase and has a really great sound. If wanting something small and compact I would definitely recommend this item. Plus, Magnavox is a well know brand that makes great products.

Good buy
Just got it today. It’s for my garage and it’s set up. Pretty simple does exactly what I wanted out of it. Fm reception is pretty good I’m in a city so reception usually ain’t bad but picks up a weaker one pretty good. Sound ain’t bad don’t expect deep base or bose quality but decent overall for my use.

Had to return 1st one and get replacement. CD player didn't work. Would have given 5 stars if not for that. 2nd one works great.

Died in 3 month - warranty costs money
Delivered 2023-07-19 Return window closed 2023-08-18 Defective Date 2023-09-26 I was enjoying this unit plenty well. Then, I used the BT function. It paired with my phone and was good. I went back to the radio, still good. But now, it can play nothing but the radio. The CD appears to load up and play a CD, but no sound comes out, just mild static. I switch to BT, no sound, just static. The BT is definitely connected, as the stereo buttons will navigate the songs on the phone. I tried unplugging the device to see if that would 'reset' it. No luck. I look up the warranty: "Craig Electronics warrants this product to be free from manufacturing defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of 180 days from date of purchase. If service is required, please return the product to the store where it was purchased for exchange; or, pack the unit in the original packing material with all accessories if applicable, a copy of your sales receipt and a Cashier’s check or Money Order for $12 (to cover shipping and handling costs) payable to Craig Electronics Inc. For consumers in Canada, please make sure that the cashier check or money order is redeemable through a U.S. bank. Ship your product freight pre-paid. Your unit will be repaired, replaced or if the unit cannot be repaired or replaced, a refund will be forwarded to you within four weeks of receipt of your unit." So, not only do I have to ship this back on my dime, I have to pay $12 to get them to honor the warranty. (seller: Newtech Products, LLC https://www.amazon.com/sp?ie=UTF8&isAmazonFulfilled=1&seller=A3IOIJ9TWE065T ) I'll have to investigate if my credit card offers a better extended warranty. I can also investigate what Newtech might be willing to do for the warranty.

Good radio reception and ample sound.
I set up the 3-piece radio/CD with the 2 speakers in under 5 minutes. I was thrilled. That's why it stayed in the box for so long- I was busy and did not want to fiddle with a list of instructions. And I didn't have to. All I want is better reception than my other vintage radios and some better volume. And that's what I got when I set up the radio. The reviews I read on the Amazon site guided my purchase. For my front room, this little radio set provides ample sound, even for me. I like loud. The windows aren't rattling, but I am satisfied. I don't use the remote or program anything - there are only 3 stations in my area that I listen to. Some friends came by and they were impressed with the volume, the convenient size, and the clarity of broadcast transmission which was very important. Who likes loud static? I did listen to a CD, and it too provided crisp and appreciable sound. I'm happy. As a radio lover, I recommend this 3 piece set.

No volume control on the remote.
The lack of volume control on the remote makes no sense. As I see it, the main reason for even having a remote control for a CD player is to be able to adjust the volume without the need to get up out of your chair and walk over to the machine every time you want it to play louder or softer. Also, the player won't play anything but the CDs sold commercially. If you want to play something you recorded on your own, too bad - you're out of luck. As for any other functions, who needs them?

Don't throw away them good oldies CD's
It works just fine, very little assembling. Fits almost any small space, not too loud.
