Whole beans. Anytime it says "whole beans" or "bean" in the title it should be beans not grounds

That is a listing error. The package is 1lb and the shipping weight should be 1lb 6oz.

How much caffeine does a cup of this brewed coffee contain?

I don't know, but guess it would be the same as most medium roast coffees.

Does the package show either use by date or expiration date ?

Yes, although it can sometimes be difficult to see. Also, I buy a lot of Starbuck's coffee and have noticed that the date is not always in the same place. All my purchases (in store or online) had "use by" or expiration dates.
