US Seal Manufacturing PS1000 Seal Assembly

Had to purchase this after using another kit that included one of these but I installed the piece with ceramic ring backwards and shredded the whole thing. I installed this one properly and it works perfectly. Make sure when you put it in that the black metallic surface attached to the spring touches only the white ceramic part on the other piece. Thank goodness this wasn't an expensive part.

It was a good fit, and it's been a couple of weeks so far, and no issues.

Fits perfect, 1/3 the price of the local pool stores. No need to silicone per pool store and no leaks

Was not manufactured by US seals as far as I can tell it was a generic seal in a plan cardboard box with 1000 printed on it. US seals uses completely different packaging . Saying that, the seal worked fine but will it last? If it does I will buy the less expensive seal next time.

Very easy to install, very robust material. The last one lasted about 10 years before it leak. I usually put a record tag on every machine I have, Pool motor, A/C, Water Heater and hang them on the unit with plastic. Even the House water heater, house sprinkler, garage door maintenance I have a record of replacement, checked balance, spring adjustment.
