I have used a number of these to drive LED light strings using WLED software. In theory you need a 3.3V to 5V level shifter for the light string input but they seem to work fine without it.

I used the ESP to make A weather station and monitor the weather conditions. It performed well, I especially like that It was fully compatible with Arduino.
