One of the best book out there on tarot!
I have been reading tarot for almost 20 years. I have to say I’m pretty good at it. I have been reading professionally for 17 years. I’m always studying tarot. So I know a good book when I see it. This is very good!! Actually gives you an answer as to what the card actually means and you can use that in your day to day life. It just makes sense. If you’re new or you have been reading tarot for a life time this is a must have book in your collection!

Phenomenal
I knew of the Tarot Lady. Heard of her here and there--I mean how could I not? She is a celebrity in the community. I followed her on IG and I enjoyed her daily IG Lives. She mentioned her upcoming book, so I thought, what the hell, why not try?To be honest, I've been skeptical of the implications of reading intuitively. I felt like it was an excuse not to learn the traditions and historical meanings. I thought it rips tarot out of its esoteric/occult historical context in favor of a Do-It-Yourself mentality. I have been proven wrong, and I'm so grateful that I was incorrect.Reed smatters all misconceptions about intuitive reading. Rather than poo-pooing on tradition, she conceives it as a starting point and foundation to our own interactions with the cards. I realized I've been incorporating intuition in my readings all along. I confused improvisational reading with intuitive reading. The book sprinkles "tarotcises" to hone your intuitive skills. In the first part of the book, the exercises focus on developing a personal relationship with the cards. In the past, I've studied each card, focusing on its imagery, symbolism, and visual cues. The exercises took it to a whole different level. Just like the cards in our readings, each card is mutable, multifaceted, and contains unique energetic imprints. Even if you are more seasoned, I would still work through each card. I haven't completed going through all of them. I complete the prompts and tarotcises daily: one in the morning, and one in the night. It has enriched my practice. In the second part of the book, she includes case studies and demonstrates intuition in action. I love it!In short, this is a must read, no matter your proficiency. From the bottom of my heart, Thank you Theresa!

I've been working with Tarot for more than 30 years and can honestly say that this book hits it out of the park. Theresa's practical and practiced voice shines through every word.In the first section, you'll go through Tarot basics, learning the various meanings for each of the 78 cards (including astrological correspondences for the Major Arcana). Accompanying the cards are Tarocises - exercises so you can immediately put what you've learned into practice.Next, Theresa delves into intuition - a topic not often seen in Tarot books. Here, she gives examples of intuition, writes about the various intuitive modes, and shows readers how to hone your intuition. After all, this IS a book about mastering the art of intuitive reading. I really loved the exercises that accompanied this section. If you want to become a better reader by adding an intuitive layer, don't skip over these chapters. The third part of the book guides you through three of the most common spreads, including the Celtic Cross (my personal nemsis!). Theresa walks you step-by-step through doing your first (or fiftieth) reading using one card, three cards, and 10 card spreads. If the Celtic Cross has given you fits in the past, you're in luck because the Methodology chapter details every step of that spread, with in-depth instruction on how to go about interpreting your cards. Again, you'll find Tarocises to help you put everything you've learned into practice.Lastly, if you want to become a professional reader, there's a chapter for that too. Here, you'll find no-holds barred straight talk about the pros and cons of turning professional. Fortunately, this chapter also helps you on deciding when to go pro and on setting up your business. It was easy to give this book 5 stars - only which I had the chance to leave more!

Great content, poor printing
Content of the book is incredible. I had the experience with and online course with a someone locally (which also was great and had good insights) and when I compared to this book, 99% of the facts where checked. It gave me a sense of reassurance that the info I was given was good. What I loved about this author, is that it added even more depth and insights to my learning curve. Plus she is fun to learn, teaching you with examples and exercises all over the book, that even for noobs like me, helped a lot to grasp what's got to be learnt and enjoy the process of becoming a better reader. However, I must say, that after a couple of days using the book, the bind and the cover started to peel off. The paper quality, specifically to me, gave me some allergies. Nothing new with paperbacks (in my case). I would say that it's not entirely bad, but this is a kind of book that you might want to keep for a long time, so treat it with care, because the printing is not the best.Overall experience with this purchase was great, totally recommended. Just make sure to treat it with care.
