Beautiful, high-quality rulers! Made of thick, sturdy steel (magnet-tested). Which is nice, since they don't have hanging holes, so you can use a magnetic strip. The markings are deeply incised and paint-filled, so they don't look like they'll wear off easily. They function great; the markings are accurate and easy to read. (Even has 64th and 0.5mm markings which are extremely close together and a bit hard for my eyes to read without a magnifier.) However, since they're relatively heavier than most rulers, they're a bit less portable. Also, the edges and corners aren't very polished, so they're fairly sharp. Might be a feature for some, but you can round them down if it's bothersome to you. Funny to say, but they're probably "heirloom-quality" rulers that your descendents will end up using.

When I do a lot of woodworking and work with laser engraver/cutter, I often found myself wishing I had a smaller ruler. I do have a small 8" precision ruler but that one gets used behind the shop and thought it would be nice to have something smaller. So, this ruler worked out perfectly and ended up using it more than all my other rulers.The measurements are accurate for the 6" compared to my other rulers. It's small enough it doesn't get in the way of measuring something quick and easy or the length never gets in the way. While it's small, it's not too thin so one would need to purposely bend it with some force.Awesome price for the three!

The machinist rulers are handy to carry in packet or tool pouch.I can lay the ruler float by a crack in concrete and state how wide a crack is rather than larger or small.Nice to have in mm and in inches especially down to 1/64 inch.Metal ruler is stiff and durable. The markings are clear and visible.

I use the Metric side for my measurements. The inch side is confusing. You have to think differently for 1/4 reads 8, 1/2 reads 16, and 3/4 reads 48. That I just figured out. That would take some time to feel comfortable with. For me only if I am desperate will I use the Inch side of these rulersFor such a reasonable price you do get 4 different sizes. I have paid almost 5 dollars at the local Home Improvement store for the smallest of the four. The quality is more than fine and heavy for the price. The sharp edges complained about by many are way over the top. Yes, if you wish to cut yourself with one of the ruler's edges, you probably could with effort. If you use these simply as rulers, you are safe. As for their accuracy, it depends on how important that first mark is. For the price, these 4 different-sized rules are as perfect as any average person doing everyday measurements with them would certainly find agreeable. The big selling must point for me is on each side you get metric and standard on both of their respective sides. None of this constant flipping around.

These are not flimsy rulers. They are top quality. The only thing missing is a hanging hole at the end of the rulers.

Note that the largest ruler does come with a sleeve just like the others; I just lost it.These four rulers are nice, made from stainless steel. The edges are sharp enough to slice you, which is good for accurately tracing lines. They come in two lengths and two widths.All measurements are in millimeters:The first is 355.50 long, 26.25±0.05 wide, 0.91±0.02 thick.The second is 304.50 long, 26.20±0.05 wide, 0.91±0.01 thick.The third is 203.00 long, 19.37±0.01 wide, 0.90±0.01 thick.The fourth is 152.00 long, 19.16±0.01 wide 0.90±0.01 thick.All measurements are approximate. All of them appear to be almost perfectly flat (which is impressive), and straight on the business edge.The markings are thin enough that you don't lose accuracy, and it is easy to precisely measure up to 500 microns. Even further, I found it easy to eyeball accurately down to 100 microns because the lines are so thin, straight and sharp. I also like the font.One issue you may note is that the ends are a cut a little bit rough. They have a slight bevel where a guillotine severed the length. Additionally, they do not appear to be perfectly perpendicular with the longest edges, and have a slight variance. This variance means that if you're trying to measure from the zero-end, your measurements will be off slightly. I have a picture attached with the markings lined up which illustrates this issue. It is more noticeable from the imperial side on the 300mm long ruler, which means that particular ruler has a slight offset on that specific side.As for the orange and transparent sleeves that they come with, I have a complaint. These are almost not worth keeping, but only almost. You can't hang them by a nail through the hole because the cut is on the wrong end (gravity), and this makes me wonder why the hole is there in the first place. The tops are also heat-sealed, which means that you can't remedy the problem by sealing the bottom and opening the top. I understand that these sleeves are almost definitively just for protecting the markings and brush texture during transit, and they are still useful for this purpose. Nevertheless, the material is thin and the design cuts prevent them from being more useful. It would have also been nice if cardboard outer-sleeve were more durable, as I would like to keep them in this. There is no easy way to open the package without ripping this packaging.All in all, great rulers for the price. Regardless of my complaints, this is still a 5/5 star item.
