The combination of a police dog and a human body already captivated him, but what he likes most is the comic-style style, with expressive illustrations and easy-to-follow text.Unlike other books, these really motivate him to read on his own, and not only that: he laughs out loud while he's doing it! I love that the books also have positive messages hidden among the laughs, such as the importance of doing good, the value of friendship, and how to overcome mistakes.The series is perfect and also ideal for those who are just starting to read longer chapters. He's even started drawing his own comics after being inspired by Dog Man, which is a plus.100% recommended for parents looking for books that combine humor, creativity, and quality reading. The Dog Man books are a lot of fun. Sure, there are some fart jokes, but they get my son excited about reading! I bought ALL 13 in the series from Amazon. Look for sales, because certain titles will be half price! These are also available at most libraries, as they may be a one and done type of read and may not be worth the price for some.
