Buy them now!
OMG!!! I ordered these Winsor and Newton watercolor pro markers. These are the best I have ever used, and I own a lot. They are almost like magic- lol. They blend so beautifully with water, I just can’t believe how awesome they are. FYI: I do use 100% cotton watercolor paper.

The colors are very nice and vibrant
I have mixed feelings about these markers. I tried using them in a drawing previously and also while doodling, trying to find the best way to use them but am not finding how and when I should use them for fear of ruining my paintings. I need to practice more until I find the best way to apply them to a painting.I did some swatches with these markers, as shared in the pic... Dry on dry on the left side and I wet half of the box to show the color dispersion and vibrancy when wet. They are nice colors. On the wings of the butterfly (left side) I used prussian blue to make the wing form and added yellow lines inside with a line of sap green. I wanted to see how the colors mixed when I passed the brush with water. On the right side I used Alizarin crimson for the shape, lines of Cadmium yellow hue and Cadm. Red hue inside. I can see the original lines for all colors and yet they mixed well. I just don't think I like ALL the lines showing, even when I try blending it out alot to make the lines disappear (nope, not happening). So am not sure what I would use it for. But if you are not bothered by that, these colors are very nice.

Beyond Basic
This is the basic set and when they say basic, they mean it . I think it’s all the colors you would need to get started and maybe more. All the basic colors that you would expect to find in watercolor. I swatched them just now, and the color is deep and vibrant, and they’re very juicy. Could not be more pleased.

Are they worth the money?
As markers go, they're good ones. Are they worth five times the price of cheap markers? No. One good thing about them is that you can dip the tip in water to thin the color. They'll probably last longer than other markers, but these aren't "watercolors," fwiw. Water soluble.

Caduim Yellow hue and Lemon Hue yellow not the same color
I received my Winser Newton markers as I have the basic set of makers too They came wrapped nicely but my Lemon Yellow as marked on the page on Amazon was a Caduim Yellow Hue a tad darker was hoping for the lemon color ..Markers appear darker too then how it was on the Amazon page was brighter ...All professional markers seem more expensive than they should be ..
