Bought this is I will generally get bitten of there’s something around to bite me and was off to Majorca where there’s a fair few mosquitos.Got a bite on my leg and woke up with a very itchy lump behind my knee. Used the heat pad on it when I got up on the 3 second mode and it pretty much stopped itching instantly! I was very impressed and relieved! The lump did itch all day and the swelling got less.The heat pad is very hot but it’s bearable for a few seconds especially when it works. This is going to be very useful in the future 🙂

Why did you choose this product over others?:My husband was having a difficult time with mosquito bites this summer as bug spray was a bit inconsistent in warding them off. The bites he received were maddeningly itchy and it was clearly bothering him so I ordered one of these to see if it helped. He said this little gadget is a lifesaver! The heat from the application is a moment of discomfort but after that, the itch from the bite site is completely gone! He said this helped him sleep even if he had been bitten multiple times, and also kept him from scratching bites so they could heal faster. We won’t ever go camping without it, now, it’s a game changer!

I may not be the most handsome guy in the world, but mosquitoes think I am utterly delicious. I can't seem to attract a human mate, but whilst mosquitoes exist, I will never be alone. Yes, I really did win those awards. Last year I was even a centrefold...I am covered in a very different kind of "love bite". Hey, they say love hurts, right?I was very sceptical that this product would help - I've tried the "clicker" ones which produce a mild electric current, which feel like a rubber band being slapped against the bite, but apart from slightly electrocuting me, these left the bites feeling just as sore and itchy as before.So, electrocuting myself doesn't help.Antihistamine creams give the bites a lovely sheen and seem to bring out that attractive redness, so I look like I'm covered in greasy boils, but they don't do anything for the itching either.So, understand I was sceptical that a device which heated my skin for a few seconds was going to do anything, but hey, I am a single middle-aged male who can only get mosquitoes to come anywhere near me, so I have spare cash to waste on more useless gadgets. I don't spend it on dates.The thing is though, this little gadget pretty much works. It won't cure your bite magically, but it does calm down the itching and reduce the swelling a little.You can use it for 3 seconds or 6 seconds, but I am a very hardcore, rugged bloke (yeah right, I wouldn't be single if I was) so I went straight for the 6. Anyone impressed yet? Date? No?You turn it on with a tiny switch, which seems unnecessarily tiny, even to a bloke like me...Seriously, it fine for me but it's very small and and it's white on a white background so could be easier to use. Once it's switched on, a single click gives you 3 seconds, a double click gives you 6 seconds. Same principle as a computer mouse, but more awkward because you're holding it at an angle on your skin with one hand and trying to do a quick double-click with the other.Someone else doing it for you would help here, but this presents obvious problems for someone like me. Bitter, I?Anyway, it's hot but not unbearably so and it's all over quite quickly (oh dear, I am just handing people the lines now aren't I?)It could be redesigned to be easier to use, especially for people who are covered in mosquito bites and so, like me, may have difficulty in getting other humans to approach them. It is the bites that's the reason. I believe that.I need to believe that.Anyway, seriously. A couple of ease of use niggles aside, this product works to reduce itching and swelling from insect bites. It cools down very quickly and is compact and easy to store.If you are as attractive to mosquitoes as I am, whether or not fellow humans feel the same about you, it's worth a look.

This was recommended by a friend and works brilliantly! Feels very hot for a few seconds when in use. Can be used a number of times without any adverse effects. Stops itching fast and helps the bite to go down. No nasty chemicals, love it.

I had seven mosquito bites sitting outside the hotel waiting for our transport to return. I react badly with huge dark red lumps. After antihistamine tablets , steroid antihistamine cream I was still waking at least twice overnight driven crazy with itching. Till I ordered this. Game changer!! Stopped the itch for several hours, after a day or two the itch went completely. Healed much faster and I didn’t get the itching at the site for weeks I am used to. Will be packing it next time I travel so I can act much quicker to stop the bite developing.You can feel a sharp little feeling but easily dealt with and once you have experienced the relief you can count to 3 and the feeling goes.

Worked great until 5 days after the warranty expired (last week). Now when turning it on it just beeps constantly until you turn it off. Have tried new batteries, made sure the contacts were clean, turned off and on a few times, with no luck. Device doesn't see too hot or cold (just room temperature) and is not visibly damaged, so this feels like an internal defect. Bit dissapointing but I suppose we got quite a bit of use out of it.

Wow bought this out of desperation, so glad I did. I fell asleep in my garden chair woke up and had been bitten all over by mosquitoes, by next morning I had over 300 bites and my skin was unbelievably itchy. I covered myself in calamine lotion didn’t even touch it, came on here and found this product, I can’t recommend this product enough I went from itching hell to calm skin in half a day.. I found the 6 seconds was enough for most bites, but some did require the full 12 seconds and only a few times did I have to zap a few of them again. A word of warning, bare through the burning sensation, it is well worth it.

I had really high hopes for this as I’m being eaten alive by mosquitos during these hot nights. But… rather than dull the itching and speed the healing the bites have been replaced by blisters as a result of being burnt by this device. I applied exactly as instructed, using only the three second setting and removing as soon as it bleeped. Within an hour I had a large painful blister on the site of each of the new bites. Judging from the reviews it clearly works for a lot of people but I won’t be using it again.
