Artistique Blush - Aureole

I've read about Surratt blush before, and I knew it was very well thought of. I own several other pieces of Surratt makeup (don't miss their highlighter! It's EXCELLENT!), but hadn't ordered the blush because I really don't DO powder blush. I only use cream blush. However, in a fit of experimentation (due to stay-at-home orders in my state), I decided to order the Surratt blush.Wow. It's really something. I have to warn others: it's pretty small. When I took it out of the package, I nearly passed out. Was this a credit card? Nope, it's a blusher. However. It's intensely pigmented, and a tiny bit goes a long way. The color is bright, but sheers out a lot. It's also incredibly soft and flattering. I got a rather bright pink, which ends up looking pretty natural on me (I'm nearly translucent pale), when I blend it. It's matte, which I also tend not to like, but for some reason it doesn't bother me at all in this formulation. The Surratt is pretty, and adds definition, instead of appearing flat. There's some glow to the color.

Nice blush but very expensive . I can't see buying the Surratt case for $25 to keep it safe. This pink is a good cool pink which is difficult to find. There's no glow, though. It's matte on me. I wouldn't recommend it because it's not that different from other blushes.
