Ridiculous Vegan Protein Bar - Award Winning, Wild Chocolate Peanut, 9 Bars, 100% Plant Based & Palm Oil Free, High Protein - Protein Works

I really like these a lot. I’ve tried and compared quite a few high protein bars. For me I’m doing it to try to lower my blood sugars as a type 2 diabetic and help a fatty liver.They have a chewy texture, quite dense with the added thrill of bits of peanut on top (not huge amounts like a Snickers however). But really tasty.The little box they come in is handy to store and each bar really fills me up. I like the fact it’s all vegan even though I’m not. Especially as no palm oil used.I like to take my time chewing each bite and enjoy it as my healthy treat. By combining these with Diet Whey High Protein low sugar powder drinks I’ve lost weight in a week and my daily sugars are around 6-8g a day! That’s brilliant for diabetics.I have a shake with no sugar, no carb, no fat almond milk for breakfast. A huge salad with tuna for lunch. One of these for snack either before or after dinner. A piece of fruit and a healthy dinner with lots of vegetables.After trying a lot of these different bars these are one of my favourites and cheaper than many out there. I like them a lot but my partner rates “just ok”, so I guess you’ve got to try for yourself.

Very taste, low calories and most important without palm oil and other harmful ingredients. It is a shame that suddenly the price went up to far.

I cannot recommend these enough. I wish the price stayed lower so I can keep buying them. I consume 2 a day to help hit my 235g of protein target. They are easy to chew, taste so nice and easy on the stomach. I have had no issues consuming them. There is however one major issue, I just keep running out of them so fast because they are extremely yummy!

I got these in the sale and I don't think i'd have paid for these at full price, not when protein bars are so hit and miss flavour wise.This was a miss I'd say but still above some of the others that live out there. If you try really hard you could trick your brain into thinking you're eating a misfit snickers, but like so many protein bars and vegan protein bars it all just feels a bit grainy, dry and not quite right. If you're craving chocolate I'd just take the hit and seek it out and supplement your protein elsewhere.

Being coeliac and trying to maintain high protein diet is sometimes challenging, especially when I need something on the go. Good ingredients, great taste (probably best out of all the ones I’ve tried so far) and it’s gluten free! I always have one of those with me just in case I want to grab something quickly. They will be ideal to take on my upcoming skiing trip.

I gave these a try because they were a lot cheaper than other vegan protein bars, but unfortunately they made me feel really ill and the taste wasn’t great either—pretty artificial and not enjoyable. They might work fine for some people, and I like that they’re plant-based and palm oil-free, but for me they just weren’t worth it and I wouldn’t buy them again.

I bought the 'WILD CHOCOLATE PEANUT' based on excellent reviews. Personally, I thought the flavour was too rich and earthy. My husband loves them. This means that they will be a luxury, rationed staple in our pantry.You've got to watch out for the price of them. They've ranged from in the twenties of pounds and down to the eights. The trouble is, when we bought them in the eights, the sell-by ran out earlier than more expensive batches that we had purchased.It's like watching the stock market go up and down.Overall, for my liking, they're way too expensive, even in the eights. The way I see it, in defence of buying them, one of these and a cup of coffee will do more good than harm.Sorry to sound miserable. I do know some knee-bending jokes.

On the positive side, the taste is not cloyingly sweet. However, that's because there isn't much taste at all. As such, I don't find these bars repulsive, but there is nothing about them to recommend.
