Bissell TurboClean PowerBrush Pet Carpet Cleaner, 2987

I'm a very happy camper! What a great find! Very easy to assemble and comes with clearly written and easy to follow instructions. I just couldn't bring myself to rent another one of those heavy, gross and very expensive cleaners which I could not operate myself. I'm an independent 68 year old woman with physical limitations who REALLY HATES asking for help. I was able to clean my carpet at my own pace with wonderful results. I vacuumed the carpet before I started to shampoo it. The suction on this cleaner is awesome. It was spitting out fur balls that my vacuum had left behind, therefore I know it was a good deep cleaning. It also removes most of the water and leaves the carpet only slightly damp. It is very lightweight, compact and an excellent working piece of equipment. Cleanup of the machine was very easy....but as with all shampooers just a little gross. My sister-in-law used it today to clean her large living room area rug with great results and was also very impressed by the machine. My only regret is that I just discovered that it is now on sale for $15 dollars less. However, it is well worth the price and comes with my highest recommendations. Best of all...I could do it myself!!!

Highly recommended if you're looking for a budget carpet cleaner. We got a new puppy who would still make small messes on the carpet even after taking him out regularly. So I bought this with the Bissell Pet Urine solution and it has done the job well!It was easy to set up. It comes in a few pieces that snap together. It's really lightweight and if I have any criticism at all, it does feel kinda cheap. It's all plastic with the feeling like it's almost a toy. The benefit is that it's light to carry and work with though. With that said, it definitely works without any issues and does an effective job.You can see the before and after on our carpets, it has cleaned up everything. There's no more smell and it only took about 20 minutes to undo months worth of messes that were otherwise poorly cleaned before. It's got an adequate amount of power and brush spin to it. It has zapped up every kind of stain that it's encountered so far.I highly recommend if you're looking for a carpet cleaner that is low price and for a smaller space that is just too big for a smaller spot cleaning device.

I never review products, and for that reason I felt it necessary to tell everyone how impressed I am with this carpet cleaner. I've owned my own machine for 15+ years until it recently died. I've also hired companies over the years to clean for me when I didn't have time to do it myself or when I thought my old machine couldn't do as good a job. I wish I knew about this Bissell long time ago because it would have saved me a lot of money. I have a small house so our carpets get walked on a lot. This machine got my high traffic areas clean - something even the big name companies couldn't do! And it leaves it MUCH drier than both my old machine and professional companies. Now - I've realized a few things after using it a few times.1) It can leak a little dirty water now and then as you're cleaning - I can't find a leak, but it's dirty water, so I think it's just coming off the brush area. It's nothing that going back over the spot won't clean up, but I'm being honest here, so I feel I should let you know. (That's why I gave it a 4 on deep cleaning).2) Be sure you really press down on the nozzle both top and bottom when you're putting it together each time after using it and cleaning it. I think that really helps the suction to work best and prevents leaks.3) This machine works SO WELL that you might end up with a striped carpet if you don't overlap your cleaning well. That's what happened to me the first time - I had great cleaned areas and areas I missed because I didn't realize you need to overlap strokes more than my old machine. But, I re-cleaned the areas a 2nd time, overlapping more and going in more than one direction over the area, and it fixed the problem. My 11 year old carpet - light beige - looks amazing!4) Take your time and go over an area a lot. This is not the kind of machine that you just go over an area once and you're done. To make it work it's best, scrub over an area several times and then go really SLOW pulling backward to suck the most water up. If you go over each area a lot, you'll have relatively dry carpets that will completely dry in a few hours with a fan running. I just cleaned my carpets on a cold January day and they were completely dry in about 5 hours (the old machine and professional companies would have taken overnight to dry).I hope this helps someone! No machine is perfect - but for the money, this one really does an outstanding job, it's light and easy to use, and easy to put together and clean.

I have been buying the same Hoover model for the past 4 years. It would consistently last about a year. Warranty replacements were a hassle- only used once. Unfortunately the carpet cleaning machines are extremely hard to rely on due to functionality, price point & the after usage cleaning replacements. After reading many reviews ( pet owners specifically) I decided to try this machine. It was like half the price of the model I bought purchased. All I can say is WOW. Yes, you do have to constantly refill the water & solution tank. Yes you have to constantly empty out the dirty water reservoir BUT- the results are amazing! I hope it will last more than a year compared to the Hoover smart wash, we shall see. It dries so much better! I love how light weight it is! Perfect for small apartments with pets! We have a bulldog, we adore him but he drools like crazy & on occasion has accidents. This machine cleaned my area rugs so much better than the Hoover did! My bed room carpets ( over 6 years old) look new! For the price, efficiency, results, size ( I love the small footprint) & weight- I totally recommend. I do agree with others about the power button, I do not like were it is located but- otherwise it is what I have been looking for. I included my entryway rug before & after pictures as a reference.
