Time Crisis 4 (Includes Guncon 3) - Playstation 3

I purchased Time Crisis 4 (TC4) because I need a game that doesn't require thinking and time. Just like those games at the arcade, just put in your quarters and play. I love TC series at the arcade because I like the idea of covering yourself during reload and the time limit restriction. TC lets you apply your playing style a little. You can stay under cover whole day, but eventually you will die when time runs out, or you can rush yourself in a hurry and take risk of getting shot. I like the gameplay idea since the very begining of the series. The graphics is not all that and it won't give you the "Wow" factor when you see the game on your LCD screen. However, it fits my need of a game that I can just put it in and shoot, shoot, shoot. It may sound easy, but if your reflexes are not good, you should just stay away from this game. Like I said this game doesn't require thinking, but it sure requires your body's reaction. So, if you are slow with eye and finger's coordination, you will have trouble here for sure. The guncon3 looks weird, but it does its job. As long as you calibrate your gun correctly, it is very accurate. This game is also fun during party or friends gathering. 50 bucks with free shipping for this game is a must-buy game for me. The guncon3 alone is already 40 bucks, so why not just get a fun PS3 party game for the additional 10 bucks. There are going to be more games coming out that use the guncon3 in the future. This is a good investment for game accessories.

When I first saw Time Crisis 4 at my local gamestop, I dismissed it immediately after seeing the price tag. $80 is alot of money for something that you don't know if you'll like. When it went on sale for almost half the price on Amazon, I decided to give it a try. I was surprised by how fun it was. The led's are easy to place, and the calibration is incredibly easy. It only takes 5 seconds to calibrate the motion sensors. The arcade mode of gameplay was amazingly fun, and completely replicated those great arcade shooters. The story mode is pretty fun also. The controls are good, but hard to get used to. It looks really good on the Playstation 3. I was surprised that it didn't look like a last generation game! This offers up some good gameplay and a lot of style. I highly recommend picking up a copy of this game, especially if you still enjoy playing arcade shooters.

Package arrived without led sensors which makes the game and guncon 3 practically useless. Not cool

I must admit, I'm new to the Time Crisis series of games, but have been a casual fan of light gun games over the years, including Duck Hunt, Area 51, and various others that you find in movie theatre arcades these days. I bought this game during one of Amazon's DotD (deal of the day) promos, so I got it for $39. I'd say it was worth it for that amount, but I would not pay much more for this set.The game is fun, it's another light gun shooting game. The arcade mode is pretty much a typical light gun game, pretty fun, with variable difficulty and two characters to choose from, so there's plenty of gameplay there. There's also a "Complete Mission" mode that uses the additional controls on the Guncon 3 to make an FPS/light gun hybrid game. It's decent, although the character movement is a bit sluggish, but it is otherwise okay. Don't expect a deep story, it's the same tried and true good guys vs. terrorists that you get in a game like this, but hey, that's what this genre is about, mmkay? The target practice minigames are fun, and one of the only ways you can play multiplayer with only one Guncon.The game is only half of this package, and I daresay the better part. The other part is the Guncon 3 controller, a lightgun in a series of three that Namco has made over the years for the various Playstation Consoles. This newest addition to the lightgun lineup is different, as it uses a system similar to the Nintendo Wii sensor bar to triangulate the position of the gun onscreen. They have to use this method because many modern TV's don't work with the older light guns because of the way that those older guns work by using light from the screen to detect the position of the pointer. The Wii sensor bar seems reasonably accurate to detect the pointing of the Wii remote. The Guncon Sensors are not. It's jittery, inaccurate, and requires constant calibration to get working. It will work, but get familiar with the calibration screen, you'll be using it a LOT.This is a decent package, with a decent game, not great, but decent, and a sub-par controller. As I said before, if you can get this package for less than $50, it might be worth your while, but don't pay much more for it.

This game is awesome. An innovative way to play a first person shooter with a gun controller. With the guncon 3 it allows you to play this first person shooter with more action adn detail than any other game. I just hope that they bring out more games that are compatible with the gun. The plot is thicker and seems to jut add to the game play. Also the stunning detail and resolution of this game make it the best gun game out thus far. The price was completely worth every penny.
