This Addtam product is quality made. I really like that it simply plugs into a (standard two outlet) wall power outlet . . . and instantly converts it to provide five power outlets and four USB surge protected USB charging ports, wow! It even has a plastic prong that inserts into the lower outlet to strengthen and secure the device in the wall. Its easy to do, and you get so much more from that standard wall outlet. I have always had a problem running out of outlets to accommodate all the transformers needed to charge cell phones, tablets, and laptops, etc., on the same kitchen countertop. This device solves that problem, and get this, the additional power outlets have an angle (instead of straight in) which allows additional transformers if needed, very nice. The four surge protected USB ports on the device include three USB-A ports and one USB-C port connections. I like that it is not expensive and it does so much. It works well for me and I recommend it to you.

The Wall Charger and Surge Protector (5 outlets with 4 USB charging ports) is excellent. I have them all over the house, and they’re very convenient for charging multiple devices at once. The surge protection adds peace of mind, and the USB ports work well for phones, tablets, and other gadgets. A practical and reliable solution for keeping everything powered and organized.

Every home needs several of these. Functional, good quality, good design, affordable, multiple outlets and USB ports. Works in every outlet. Easy to install and clean design.

This is the second one I have purchased. I am overall pleased with it's operation and it is layed out to provide lots of additional plugins to a standard two plug outlet. but I need to point out one feature that needs additional explanation. This device does have "Surge Protection" that is indicated by the lighted little green circle/dot. If that light is on, the protection is active. The little white center on the green dot sort of looks like a reset switch, but it is not. If the light goes out, the surge protection is no longer active and there is no reset, automatic or otherwise. When I asked "Rufus" about resetting the device, it correctly advised there is no reset, the solution is to buy another one if you want surge protection. I'll continue to use the now unprotected unit in another outlet in my house that is connected to a GFI plugin that protects it from power surges. My wish is that the description for this unit should carry some sort of warning that the surge protection is a one time affair that is not re settable to operational status if it is triggered.

I bought one of these Addtam outlet extenders for the kitchen and ended up ordering a handful more. Between phones, e-readers, a handheld gaming console, and smart-home hubs, a single duplex outlet just wasn’t cutting it. What I like Plenty of room for bulky plugs. Five AC sockets wrap around three sides, so a chunky power brick no longer blocks everything else. Built-in USB (with USB-C). Four charging ports mean fewer wall-warts cluttering the counter. The USB-C tops out at 20 W—enough to keep my 13-inch laptop from draining while I work, even if it won’t “fast charge” a big workstation rig. Decent surge protection. 1,800 joules isn’t industrial grade, but it’s peace of mind for routers, consoles, and other small electronics that hate power blips. A green LED tells you the protection is still active. Stays put. Swap out the face-plate screw with the one provided and the unit feels rock-solid. Even in outlets without that screw, the support prong keeps it steady. Compact depth. It adds only about an inch of extra clearance, so bookcases and nightstands can still sit almost flush to the wall. A couple of quirks Weight. It’s a bit heavier than it looks; loose wall boxes may need the center screw to keep things snug. USB-C ceiling. Great for tablets, phones, and smaller laptops, but not ideal if you need high-wattage charging for a power-hungry workstation. Bottom line If your household resembles a tangle of chargers fighting over the last open outlet, this adapter is an affordable fix. After outfitting the bedrooms, office, and living-room TV stand, I haven’t tripped it or lost surge protection once. It’s now the first thing I pack for hotel stays, too.

Compact and efficient, it made my single outlet much more functional and opened up other areas for me. Works great!
