My brand new Whirlpool fridge has no temperature read-outs or settings, just red digital numbers 1 through 5 for freezer and fridge, and that requires the owner to figure out what temperature those digits mean. The owner's manual directs the owner to ensure specific temps for both compartments but provides no way to do that. How can an owner know without using these perfect, accurate, properly priced thermometers; one in the freezer and one above the milk? I think the Whirlpool product manager and product team need to use the products assigned to them. One of them would surely read the owner's manual and ask, "How does the homeowner do what we tell him to do?"

The thermometer is accurate and approved for food safety. I use these for my refrigerators for my restaurant, the numbers are big and easy to read.
