Great read! Perfect mindset!
I am a manager in the industry and have worked for various cities. I bought this book for fun to read. Hands down the best book for Code Enforcement for officers with any level of experience. I understand it does not go in depth for beginners, but the topics she discusses is on point. I related to all her examples and her strategies in code enforcement. Buying more for my entire team.

Good Overview...Little depth
This was a good overview, perhaps a thumbnail sketch of the business. I thought it was well written but not long enough to get into the depth of what a person wants to know trying to get into this field. However, it was good rest room reading material and I did find a few nuggets of wisdom to take from it.

Out of date
I think the approach was one size fits all - every kind of inspector. I think the International Code Council training for various building and fire inspectors is better.
