V5PRO OEM Mirror Dash cam 1080P Rear View Mirror Camera with Night Vision, Full Laminated Touch Screen with Front and Rear Cam, Reversing Camera, Parking Mode, GPS Tracking, Hardwire Kit

Reason for buying: I purchased a VW Transporter panel van with no rear windows and no rear-view mirror. I also required a Dash Cam having had one in each of previous three vehicles. Delivery: I purchased an Auto-Vox V5 Pro Mirror Dash Cam from Amazon UK; it was delivered the next day using Amazon Prime. Packaging: The packaging it was contained in was up-market and sturdy looking, protecting the mirror, camera and fittings completely. Build Quality: While unboxing it was very noticeable the mirror, camera, etc. were well built with a high-end finish. Instructions: The instruction book was a little small for me. However, I was able to download an electronic copy from Auto-Vox’s web site. I watched several ‘Youtube’ videos where people had fitted the same mirror and where people gave advice on selecting the correct fuse to connect to. Service: My van uses different fuses to those contained within the packaging. The instruction book states who to contact at Auto-Vox to receive the correct fuse taps. I emailed Auto-Vox giving my Purchase Order Number and type of fuse required; they where delivered the next day. Installation: Installation took 4 hours start to finish, prior to fitting I carried out a test connection of all the parts including connecting the feed wires to the fuse box, the mirror came to life and worked faultlessly. I unplugged everything, then began installation, referring back to the instruction book between stages. Ease of use: I’ve used the mirror dash cam for a couple of days, it has a clear, bright image even at night. The on-mirror menu system is intuitive when setting up for first use. Satisfaction: It is a great product; support from Auto-Vox was first-class; it was easy to fit; it works just as advertised; I am extremely happy with my purchase.

I’ve been using the AUTO-VOX V5PRO for a little while now, and I’m really pleased with it. The mirror screen looks clean and fits nicely in my motorhome. Both the front and rear cameras produce clear, sharp video, even at night. The touchscreen is smooth and responsive, and the reversing camera makes parking much easier. Setup was straightforward, and the GPS tracking and parking mode features work well. It feels like a premium product at a good price. Overall, I’m very satisfied and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality mirror dash cam.

I have just installed the Auto-Vox V5Pro in my Honda CR-Z, and am very impressed with the video quality and ease of installation. The night vision is very good, a little headlight glare at night but this is unavoidable with this type of product, it is though very low compared to others of the same type. In daylight and especially low light conditions like dusk it is excellent. The OEM look is great, I had a small issue with the adapter supplied (no. 3) as the CR-Z uses a type of rear view mirror that is rotated 90 degrees when fitting so I had to add an additional grub screw to the adapter. However I got first class support from Gloria at customer service who answered all my emails within half a day and was super helpful in trying to resolve the issue. I can't fault the customer service that Gloria gave me, it was first class. Although they didn't have a specific adapter to send me, I have fed back my solution to Gloria who has in turn passed it to their tech team, and hopefully it will be added to future no.3 adapters. The fuse taps supplied were correct for the Honda CR-Z (low profile mini) and there was plenty of cable. Overall I'm very impressed with this product, fully deserves the 5 stars.

The V5Pro really does look like it's factory-fitted. From the single cable running to the mirror, to the mounting options provided by Auto-Vox out of the box. Lots of options available from the get-go and everything is made to the highest quality. The rear view camera has a function to tie into the reversing light, so that the view lowers to nearer the bumper for parking. The two photos attached show the view in driving mode and reversing mode. The front facing camera is high quality, however in my particular situation I'm unable to use it due to my van's plastic casing around the mirror. I plan to swap the mirror in the future for the T9Pro (when it becomes available in the EU, hint hint Auto-Vox 😉) so that I can have an external front facing camera for my dash cam. The rear camera was excellent quality also, very sturdily built, and appeared to be of a high quality resolution. I ended up using Auto-Vox's Cam7 camera (which is also compatible with the V5Pro mirror - just cut the green wire) as it looked better for my van. While the product itself is extremely good, the real shining star is the customer service. Kaya, from Auto-Vox, has been an incredible help throughout the entire process. First, from reading the reviews, I realised I'd need a different type of fuse tap. Emailed customer service, and Kaya was able to sort out immediately with no questions asked. Second, I needed a slightly longer arm to mount the actual mirror to my windscreen. Emailed Kaya, and she sent me one immediately and it arrived next working day. It was super easy to fit and works perfectly. After fiddling for a while with where to mount the camera, I realised that the one that came with the V5Pro wasn't really a suitable fit on the back of my Transit. I emailed Kaya, and she suggested a few other options that would be compatible with the V5Pro mirror. The Cam7 looks great and there's a separate review for it on it's own page. Excellent product, and fantastic service.
