Uni Color Pencil Sharpener

This sharpener actually does a good job and performs as noted. If it did not I would surely burn it because come on there are a ton of sharpeners out there that claim to do a good job and are total junk. Or if they do work, the blade quickly dulls and becomes very difficult if not impossible to use. I was skeptical when I purchased my first one. Purchased it solely to sharpen my Prismacolor colored pencils. These color pencils have a soft core. A crappy sharpener quickly becomes apparent when using it on these pencils. I just ordered another one after a year of use. Ordered another one because I was concerned the product might disappear. I wanted a backup. Side note: In general I find Uni products to be good and reliable. This product further reinforces my positive experience with their products. I am a professional artist with over 40 years experience (Okay... I sound old. Just realized that.)

My prismacolor pencils have never been sharper and aren't breaking every time they get sharpened!

I really like this sharpener for my colored pencils. I read somewhere that it provided a short sharp pencil tip and ordered it because of that. I am pleased with the point it provides. But I consider the point to be more of a medium length since it is longer than the way prismacolor pencils are sharpened out of the box. However, it does not seem to break my leads on the Prismacolor pencils while sharpening and it leaves the wood nice and smooth. However, I have experienced some minor breakage when I use the pencils immediately after sharpening. I wish it came with a container for the shavings.

I bought this to sharpen Faber-Castell Goldfaber colored pencils. While it does work, the sharpener is slightly too large for these pencils and therefore difficult to work with. You end up taking off much more than needed just to get it properly sharpened. I should have gone with a Faber-Castell branded sharpener in the first place so that's my bad but want to give a heads up.

Best hand sharpener for my Prismacolors, and i’ve tried sooooooo many. Second choice for me would be the Pro Art PA308300, which gives a stubbier point. This Uni delivers a perfect point, and perfect point length. Most importantly ... NO breakage, which has been a problem with Primsacolor colored pencils since they moved their manufacturing several years ago.

Used with Prismacolor pencils. All reviews say this is the one to buy, and their not lying.

this was recommended to me because it works well with soft colored pencils and doesn't cause breakage. so far it has worked great and i'm very happy.

所さんのニッポンの出番で紹介された『中島重久堂の鉛筆削り』を入手したく近所の文房具屋に走ったが『置いてない、注文も出来ない』との返事！【困った時のAMAZONさん】に聞いてみるとTUNAGU鉛筆削りは出てくるが、普通の鉛筆削りは出てこない。　再度中島重久堂のHPをよく読むと『国内主要文具メーカー鉛筆削りをOEM制作しています。刃にはJAPANの文字と弊社ブランドのNJKの刻印がされており…。』の記述を発見。　この商品の写真を拡大してみると刃にJAPANとNJKの刻印があるではないか！、早速注文して本日到着、力を入れずにサクサクと切れる切れ味に驚嘆！。ドイツのS社やD社の鉛筆削りを切れ味とコストパーフォーマンスで凌駕しており、文字通り『ニッポンの底力を実感した。

商品説明には書かれていませんが、こちらの商品は「色鉛筆専用」です。後ろの注意書きに「色鉛筆以外のものを削らないように」と記載されています。ご注意下さい！この度、色鉛筆用に購入しました。Amazonで購入した160本2500円程の中国製色鉛筆の木の部分の材質が悪く、削るとボキボキに折れるので【短く、鈍角】な削り機であるこちらを購入しました。当時189円送料無料でした。刃にはNJKと中島重久堂の刻印があり、削り心地良く折れずに綺麗に削る事が出来ました。こちらのお値段でこの品質は本当に有難いです。ただ、芯はピンピンに尖らずほんの少し丸く仕上がるようです。極細の線を描く際には少し困りますが、この程度なら許容範囲でした。

芯をといでいる時に色鉛筆の芯が折れませんでした普通の鉛筆もといでいます
