I don't like to use powdered henna due to the dust and mess, but I developed a severe allergy to both box and professional hair dye after overdying my hair in high school. I usually develop red, itchy, painful allergic reactions on my scalp, neck, and ears for up to 2 weeks. I was using Arctic Fox's "Transylvania" as my primary dye and Keracolor Clenditioner in "Onyx" for touch ups because they're the only dyes I found that covered whites/ greys. Arctic Fox bleeds like crazy, so I wanted to try something else for my primary dye. As mentioned, I don't like the production and mess of powdered henna. This is premixed and ready to use. My ONLY issue is how drippy this is. Make sure you have at least one extra towel on hand during application and while you leave it on.Bottom line, this has great coverage, works on white and grey hair, gives a natural tone, and conditions, leaving my hair it's natural dark brown/ almost black hair shiny and restores its natural auburn tone in the sun.

Works!!!! I haven’t dyed my hair in forever because I didn’t want harsh chemicals (since I already have thinning hair). I found this option when using the Yuka app where it gave this henna cream an excellent score of 79. All the other hair dyes were coming up low 30’s or even 0 out of 100.

I've been dying my hair with Surya Brasil Henna Cream for year with no issue but last couple of times all it is in the bottles are black water/ink. In first batch I opened the bottles and realized that it is in liquid form. I contact the seller and they didn't help. Than I contact the Amazon and Amazon made me sent the open bottles with no caps of course ( which is no sense) So I could get my money back. Than I ordered second 2 pack of same black henna cream to hope that first batch was a bad batch but nope these two were the same. I went into a little investigation myself and I cut both bottles. Pour the black liquid and I found the actual cream but not cream this time. It got hardened. Expiration on the boxes are still ok by the way. So yes the products went bad. Surya Brasil needs to look into their products and stop sending me these liquids. And I know I am not the only one. I am highly allergic to PPD in commercial hair dyes so Surya Brasil Henna Cream is the only option for my condition and my gray hair.

I love this product!! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is due to the fact it’s not a solid black. My hair was black and brown initially. I left this product on for 3 hours and indoors it looks fully black but in the sun it has bits of highlighted red/burgundy. It’s very pretty though! I’ve already ordered a second bottle. There is also a lot of product in the bottle, I didn’t have to use the entire thing. Next time I will sleep with the product in to see how pigmented it gets. It also leaves your hair incredibly hydrated and soft!!

I really like the Surya Brasil - Henna Cream Hair Color Treatment, Semi Permanent Hair Color for Gray Hair. It gives great coverage, and smells much better than any other brand of hair color treatment. It does a very adequate job of getting rid of those annoying grays. It's easy to use and you can determine how long you want to keep this product on your hair for maximum results. I would definitely recommend this is you are concerned about the chemicals in others dyes or hair products. Of course you need to test it on your skin first time users to see if you are allergic to the ingredients, just as with other products before using this product. You might want to purchase your own cap to go on your hair, as the enclosed one they give you to use and., the gloves did not personally work too well for me.

I've been buying this for a couple years ... it was about $8/9 a bottle in 2022, now like $25, so there's that. I like using something natural and the process is easy. I use it about once every couple months. But a handful of times, the solution is gritty like it's old and doesn't dye my hair as well. It does cover gray when I leave it on for a good 4 hours.

This is the only semi-permanent I can use on my hair because of a sensitive scalp. This henna cream is easy to use and can last for about 4-6 weeks depending on how often you wash your hair. The cream washes off with soap and water.
