Great Buy
Had this for months, it's an excellent controller still working perfect. The build quality is great and it looks expensive

Game changer!
What an absolute game changer these Hori Split pad pro controllers are! I have fairly large hands so I could never play my Nintendo Switch for long as I found it became uncomfortable after a short period of time. I purchased these and after switching the controls out it was immediately better. They are far more comfortable, the buttons and triggers are nice, tight and accurate (not cheap rubbish) easy to install and use and I can now play for hours in comfort. To accommodate the extra size these controllers give the Switch, I purchased a iofeiwak hard shell case (Amazon) to store it in and it accommodates it perfectly. I genuinely highly recommend these controllers for any Nintendo Switch user.

Fantastic product with potential small glitch
I have rather large hands and the joycons on the switch bring me a lot of discomfort if I use them for longer than half an hour. I had a 9 hour flight coming up when I initially looked at this product and it seemed ideal so I bought it. Id say I played for a good 3 hours with no cramp in my hands. Just like playing with a normal controller. In addition the programmable buttons on the back are fantastic for games like Zelda as you can't run and direct the camera on a normal controller without a very strange hand placement. This makes it much easier as you can just map the run button (b or x) to one of the programmable buttons on the back. However, I did experience a slight glitch where the controller would think I was aiming to the right on the left stick. This meant my character would start walking (we're all familiar with this from old controllers). The good news is that upon restarting the console the glitch seemed to stop and the controls were back to normal. I should say that this could have been an in game glitch or the controller. Either way the product still works now and if it broke today I'd buy another :)

No rumble feature
I managed to pick these up for about half price in an Amazon Warehouse deal, and decided to give them a go as I spend a lot of time playing Animal Crossing, which is not really a comfortable experience on the standard joy cons. They are certainly bigger than the standard joy cons, but given that the standard joy cons felt too small in my hands, the increased size of these was a relief. They're easy enough to install and get started with. They fit securely onto the main body of the Switch, and I didn't feel that they were going to be easily knocked off the sliders. They do protrude further out than standard size joy cons, so if you're tight on space around your dock, you might want to reposition it. I really liked the larger D pads. They were so much more comfortable than the original joy cons, or the third party ergonomic joy cons which I also own. You spend a lot of time on Animal Crossing making your character run about, so this was a really nice change. No sore pressure lines on your thumbs at all. I have yet to find anything quite as comfortable. I've not used the turbo or programmable buttons yet, so I can't comment on those. Some people have said that the body of these controllers could be easily scratched, but I don't see how, unless you're willfully digging something sharp into them. They're hard plastic, after all. I've only experienced drift once, and I did try to recalibrate the controller, but Google results told me that third party cons aren't designed to be recalibrated, and sure enough, it wouldn't let me. I turned the Switch on and off, and the drift was gone. However, for Animal Crossing, I have gone back to my cheap ergonomic joy cons, for one reason only - these don't have the rumble feature on them, and so many aspects of ACNH rely on rumbles to notify you of something. Caught a fish? You'd get a rumble. Achieved Nook Miles? You'd get a rumble. No rumble means you could miss out on something. I really miss using them. I've put Kontrol Freeks' performance thumbsticks onto my ergonomic controller, as it's still not as comfortable as the Hori. The extra surface space is so much nicer. If you can live without the rumble feature, these controllers are fantastic. I've got several different types of joy con, and these beat all of those for comfort, hands down. They're a premium product, so goodness only knows why there's no variant of these with the rumble feature built in. For my gaming needs, it's like building a kitchen without a water supply. Very pretty, but missing an essential.

very cute!
I love these controllers! I have now had them for two years after going through 3 pairs of switch controllers, and these are the only ones I have tried which haven't ended the 12 month mark with catastrophic stick drift. The larger size makes them comfortable to hold, and I like having the extra buttons on the back. The only drawback is the lack of motion controls as they will only work when connected to the nintendo switch, but if you don't play connected to the docking station very often then they are great! Another important note if you're concerned about the patterns on the shells wearing off - they are not printed on. The artwork *is* the plastic itself which prevents it from being damaged through normal use! Cannot stress how great they are and I'm planning to buy another set in the future!

Game changer. Buy one
Excellent product that has revolutionised gaming on my switch. Playing FPS games felt unnecessarily difficult using the standard joycons. This pad changes the whole experience and makes games like DOOM, Metro and Sniper Elite play far more like their console counterparts. Incredibly smooth and precise thumbsticks Feels more akin to an Xbox controller in terms of feel and layout. Makes the switch feel somewhat similar to a steam deck too. Very solid feeling product. Has additional triggers/pads on the underside which can be mapped. This is limited to buttons available on that particular side of the pad. I.e the left side can only be mapped the left side inputs (dpad, Left trigger etc) and the right hand side can only map the abxy side of the pad. This is somewhat limiting but still a useful function, especially when mapping jump and crouch in FPS games Loads of third party cases are available for the pad + switch combo, I would advise getting one as the console doesn't lay the most comfortably due to the handgrip moulding. Comfortably fits in the switch dock without disengaging the pads too Can't yet comment on longevity as have only been using for a month or two but will update accordingly Definitely worth the money for any switch owner, especially those after a console-like controller experience for shooters

Love this!!!
I absolutely love this!!! The controllers on my original switch decided they didn't wanna work that much anymore. So I got these. They look awesome, the quality is great, and they are alil bigger which is easier somehow to hold. The performance so far is great, haven't had any issues. I took a while to leave a review to use them and see what they are like first. Few months in still great. Easy to use. Lighting of the letters etc on them is easy to read. I feel it was good value for money. Would buy again but would like in a different design 😊

I made money by buying this
One day I was playing my switch on the bus when my hand started hurting so I got off the bus and went to a Cex where I sold my joycons for £50 and with that money I bought these for 40. Even though there’s no wireless mode, gyro or motion sensor I don’t care cause the comfort is literally perfect and I love the back buttons. Even if I saw it for £90 I would still buy it it’s so comfortable and light that I could hold it for hours with zero effort or pain. I even checked and there the same weight as normal joy cons. It’s like the pro controller just in handheld. If there was a 6th star I would have clicked it
